A great yoga cue can help students feel the yoga rather than judge the pose.

As yoga teachers, our words can shift the focus away from what a pose looks like and towards what a student is actually experiencing in their body.

These are some of the essential cues I come back to again and again in my teaching. A mix of alignment, breath, awareness and permission that encourages students to explore their practice rather than perfect it.

Because yoga isn’t about making the perfect shape. It’s about noticing, breathing, feeling and learning to listen to your body.

From one yoga teacher to another, save these for your next class.

Meet Sidney 🪩✨

She’s bringing Yoga Sculpt to Dirty Laundry every Tuesday + Thursday at 8PM — 45 minutes of weights, movement, good music, and very much dance party on the mat energy.

Her classes are upbeat, challenging, FUN, and built around one of her favorite reminders:

Everything you need is already in you.

Come sweat, get strong, dance a little, and meet Sidney. 💃🔥
