A letter to my senior

I’m gonna cheat a little bit and tell you this is to one senior, Sienna.

But she’s more than that.

Sienna and I had quite the journey these past few years.

We were at each others throats, cursing each other out, yelling at each other, wrestling so hard we were fighting. “Accidental” scratches, “accidental” punches in the eye or across the face, knees and elbows in the back and ribs.

It wasn’t pretty, I’ll just say that.

Then it turned into a truce, hanging out all summer, traveling to wrestling events together, from “omg I hate her” to “are you still mad at me” “lol no”, running to each other after matches, rooting for each other hard as possible, Sienna coming to me crying after a loss before her mom (sorry mama Higbee). Me and Sienna have become this sort of inseparable duo, like when you and your best friend are so close the teacher mixed you guys up, or expects you to be together.

Sienna has gone from somebody I loathed, to one of my best friends and I am going to miss her like no other, but I’m excited to see her career grow.

So this is not only to my senior, but my drill partner, and my best friend.

Forever grateful for the team built this season and forever grateful for the opportunity to wrestle.
The season didn’t quite go as I planned but that’s alright, we’re preparing for next year.
