Some footage from the most recent @kelprestorationproject on Catalina Island! This work is a collaboration between @cimi_science and @sdsu_beerpigs and has been our brain child for the past 3 years. We’re currently facing a strong El Niño event and so this hasn’t been great for the kelp 😕 BUT hopefully our efforts have given the local forests some added resilience and when the water gets cold again, we’ll see improvement 🤞🏻 It’s been a pleasure to be a part of the work so far and not only contribute to our understanding of kelp restoration, but have the chance to work with amazing people, some of whom are tagged here! Follow @kelprestorationproject for more 🕺🌊

PS: the garibaldi were AFTER me this trip!
