Part two: the reception.

Once the vows were said, everyone made their way to the Pavilion, where soft draping and warm glowing light set the mood for the evening. Tables were dressed in roses and rich fall textures, every place setting felt considered, and the room was filled with the people Chloe and Oliver love most.

Dinner was cozy, the toasts were equal parts heartfelt and hilarious, and the newlyweds soaked up every second. The dance floor? That’s a story for next time.

A particular kind of dreamy light appears on Lake Tahoe in late September and Kelly and Ryan’s wedding had it from the first moment to the last.

Blue hydrangea and delphinium flowers carried through the bouquets, the dining tables and the candlelit tent, with the Lake never more than a glance away.

It was a day surrounded by the people they love most and it felt completely their own. These are a few early favorites… with more of their story to come soon.

Some weddings feel inseparable from the place where they happened. This was one of them.

Alex and Shawn’s celebration felt distinctly Lake Tahoe from beginning to end. The ceremony tucked beneath towering pines. Guests looking toward the water with parasols in hand. Dinner outside as the light shifted through the trees. And, of course, sneaking away for a little time on the lake.

Nothing needed to compete with the setting. The design leaned into it instead: layered greens, organic florals, natural textures, warm lighting, and thoughtful details that felt completely at home along the shoreline.

That’s one of my favorite things about planning a Lake Tahoe wedding. The landscape can do so much of the talking. The best details don’t distract from it; they make the entire experience feel like it belongs there.

Alex and Shawn, thank you for trusting me with a day that felt so wonderfully, unmistakably Tahoe. 🤍

Megan & Ryan 🤍 What an incredible day celebrating these two at a private estate along the Truckee River.

This wedding was absolutely beautiful, but what I loved most was how present Megan and Ryan were through all of it. There were so many meaningful moments and beautiful sentiments woven throughout the day, and their ceremony genuinely brought me to tears. The kind of wedding that was just as beautiful to experience as it was to photograph.

when we ask our couples, “what’s your vision for your wedding day?” the answer usually starts with the color palette, the florals, the design, the aesthetic — all of the beautiful details that bring a wedding to life.

and while those details matter, we believe your vision is so much more than what your wedding looks like.

it’s how you want your guests to feel.
it’s how you want to feel when you walk into the room.
it’s the energy, the emotion, the little moments you’ll remember long after the flowers are gone.

for sean + alex, that feeling was tahoe. a destination that means so much to them, a place they call home, and one they knew would be the perfect setting to gather the people they love and celebrate the beginning of their marriage.

their new chapter began surrounded by their closest friends and family, in a setting they’ll continue to return to — forever carrying the memories of this day with them. ✨

tahoe has quickly become a destination where our team feels incredibly inspired and proud to serve — there’s something so breathtaking about bringing celebrations to the mountaintops and creating meaningful experiences in settings that feel truly one-of-a-kind.

we can’t wait to continue traveling, exploring, and bringing even more beautiful wedding weekends like this one to life for the most incredible couples.

if tahoe is a place that holds a piece of your story, we’d love to be the team behind bringing it all together — from mountaintop ceremonies to cotton candy sunsets, surrounded by the people who matter most.

we’re always ready for the next tahoe love story. 🤍

Every person here chose to be here.
They booked flights.
Cleared calendars.
Drove for hours.
Found the perfect outfit.
Rearranged their whole lives —
just to celebrate this chapter with you.
That kind of love is never an accident. 🤍

Great events aren’t remembered simply because they looked beautiful—they’re remembered because of how they made people feel ✨ That’s the philosophy behind @sierralighting whose custom lighting and drapery designs have transformed countless celebrations across Lake Tahoe. Their work creates warmth, atmosphere, and those unforgettable first impressions that set the tone for an entire event 💜

Set inside Edgewood Tahoe’s newly renovated North Room, this vibrant gathering brought friends and family together with authentic Hawaiian flair, colorful florals, and an atmosphere centered around the spirit of aloha 🌺

To transform the space, Sierra Lighting installed rich purple ceiling drapery accented with delicate twinkle lights, creating an elegant canopy that perfectly complemented the stunning floral designs by Sparks Florist. The result was a warm, inviting space where guests could celebrate, reconnect, and create lasting memories 🙌

“One of the things we’re most passionate about at Sierra Lighting is collaborating with incredible event professionals to create one-of-a-kind experiences. From the first design conversation to the final installation, our goal is to transform spaces and bring our clients’ visions to life. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing guests experience that ‘wow’ moment.”

Mahalo to everyone who helped bring this unforgettable evening to life.
