Miracle March has turned out to be remarkably dry this year. The snow’s been melting fast and many of us have broken out our bikes already. Here are some summer things to do before or after our storm next week… but rest assured that by writing a letter and engaging with us, you have already done part of your yearly work in prepping for fire and keeping #tahoetruckeetrue!

After a dozen years and the endless passion of thousands of residents and lovers of Olympic Valley/ Truckee/ Tahoe, we brought Alterra to the table. That’s the power of grassroots and that’s why we fight! #tahoetruckeetrue

Huge thank you to Danielle Hughes with Tahoe Spark, and everyone who jumped in to get this info to all of you.

Today, we are solidifying the plans and promises Palisades made to us, working on securing the last piece of the Martis Puzzle with our partner organizations, and keeping a close eye on the Sierra. That’s driven by you and your passion for the mountains! Thank you! #tahoetruckeetrue #defendmountainvalues

Roasted red peppers & green chiles, Pickled jalapeños & Guinness-braised onions .

It comes with a side-car of savory au jus sprinkled with a lil’ red chili flakes for dipping and your choice of side.

Trust us, you’re going to want to dunk this.

Part proceeds from all our Feelgoods go towards supporting local causes. This month, that’s @sierrawatch and their efforts in stopping damaging development proposals, generating funds to acquire lands of high value, and securing responsible land-use planning to defend the places we love.

#TahoeTruckeeTrue IS Sierra Watch. It’s not just Olympic Valley - it’s a legacy of challenging irresponsible development that threaten our mountain communities and landscapes… and we’ve been working on that since 2001.

The revised Village at Palisades Tahoe Plan: Join the Dec. 1 meeting!

Placer County is hosting a virtual informational meeting on Dec. 1 at 6 pm to share updates on the revised Village at Palisades Tahoe Specific Plan.

The changes reflect terms of the settlement reached by @keeptahoeblue and @sierrawatch this summer, including:

- Significantly reduce the project's size
- Remove plans for an indoor waterpark
- Permanently protect open space at the mouth of Shirley Canyon

These changes will prevent more traffic, air pollution, and water pollution that would have threatened the Lake’s water quality and clarity.

Our team will make sure the revised plan aligns with these development limits.
