MAJOR UPDATE: According to several reputable social media users on X, the Minneapolis Catholic School shooter has been self-identified in several YouTube videos (now removed from the platform).

Suspect appears to be named Robin Westman, a self-trans-identified male.

The documents attributed to Robin Westman read as a farewell manifesto blending personal despair, illness, family messages, and justification for violent intent.

Westman describes believing they were dying of self-inflicted cancer from vaping, expressing that they did not want to endure a prolonged decline or life in hospitals. The writings show a fixation on depression, anger, and suicidal ideation stretching back years, with repeated references to having lost hope, rejecting material life, and wanting to “go out on my own means.”

The notes are structured as letters to family and friends.

They include expressions of love, apologies, and gratitude, but also warnings that time and pain made them believe escape from life was the only option. Westman urges relatives to reconcile, not dwell on the past, and to “move on” after the act. At the same time, the text frames their final action as a form of resistance against injustice and a personal way of rejecting the perceived failures of America, bills, jobs, and society at large.
