🤍✨ A Wedding Cake Made with Love ✨🤍
This past weekend, I had the absolute honor of creating a wedding cake for the beautiful couple, Peter & Elizabeth. 💍🥂
There is something truly special about being trusted with such an important part of someone’s big day. Every detail, every layer, and every finishing touch was made with so much love, care, and dedication to help bring their dream wedding cake to life. 🎂🤍
As a baker, moments like these remind me why I love what I do. It’s more than just baking a cake; it’s about being part of someone’s love story and creating something sweet to celebrate a memory they’ll cherish forever. 🥹💕
Peter and Elizabeth, thank you for allowing The Alchemist Bake Shop to be a small part of your beautiful beginning. May your marriage be filled with endless love, laughter, happiness, and a lifetime of sweet moments together! 🥂💍
Congratulations to the newlyweds! Wishing you both a lifetime of love as sweet as your wedding cake. 🤍✨
With love,
The Alchemist Bake Shop 🎂

Today's Verse on the Bible app hit me today

Daniel 12:3

“Those who are wise shall shine
Like the brightness of the firmament,
And those who turn many to righteousness
Like the stars forever and ever.”

How do you turn someone to righteousness?

That could be preaching the gospel. Teaching Scripture. Discipling someone. Raising children in truth. Correcting someone who is headed toward destruction. Leading employees with integrity. Helping somebody repent. Encouraging someone not to quit on God.

But remember we don't make them righteous, only God can do that. All we can do is influence them to go in that direction. Big difference.

For me I'm reminded...

Stop measuring my life primarily by what I accumulate and start measuring part of it by who is moving closer to God because I am here.

That doesn’t mean business, money, achievement, or ambition are inherently wrong. Scripture doesn’t teach that.

The danger is making them the scoreboard.

A person could build a massive company, accumulate millions, become influential, and still have very little eternal impact. Another person could quietly disciple twenty people who then disciple hundreds more, and Daniel 12 suggests heaven’s evaluation of those two lives might look radically different from the world’s evaluation.

And there’s an uncomfortable part of this verse worth sitting with:

“those who turn many to righteousness.”

It forces a question that's not asking “Am I following God?”

It asks:

“Who is following God more faithfully because of my influence?”

How are you letting Gods light shine thru you not just on you.

That’s a much harder measurement.

I love it when a plan comes together. 🔨

From concept ➡️ reality.

It’s one thing to design it. It’s another thing to build it.

Looking back at these homes, I don’t just see lumber, concrete, and finished products.

I see the prayers, the setbacks, the uncertainty, the lessons, and the countless times God made a way when there didn’t seem to be one.

Some projects were easier than others. Some came with challenges I never expected. But through every season, one thing remained true:

God was in the story.

I’m grateful for every homeowner who trusted us, every team member who worked alongside us, and most of all for the faithfulness of God throughout the journey.

“Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it.”

ACTS 2:38 (NKJV)

“Then Peter said to them, ‘Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’”

CONTENT:
The Gospel always demands a response. Peter gave a simple but powerful instruction: repent, be baptized, receive forgiveness, and receive the Holy Spirit. Salvation is not earned through religion or good works. It comes through surrendering your life to Jesus Christ.

CONTEXT:
This took place at Pentecost after Peter preached about the death and resurrection of Jesus. The people were convicted in their hearts and asked what they should do. Acts 2:38 was Peter’s answer to a crowd desperate for truth and salvation.

PRACTICAL APPLICATION:
God still calls people to repentance today. Jesus does not just want your words. He wants your heart. When you turn to Him fully, He forgives, restores, and fills you with His Spirit. Your past does not disqualify you from the grace of God.

John 8:12 (NKJV)
“I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

Content

Jesus makes a bold and exclusive declaration: He is the Light of the world, not a light. Light represents truth, clarity, direction, and life itself. Without light, everything is confusion and darkness. Jesus is saying that apart from Him, we are spiritually blind. But when we follow Him, we don’t just see better — we receive life itself. This isn’t about religion, it’s about relationship. Following Him means aligning your life, your decisions, and your identity with Him.

Context

This statement happens during the Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem, where large lamps were lit in the temple to symbolize God’s presence guiding Israel in the wilderness. In that exact setting, Jesus declares that He is the true and greater Light — not just for Israel, but for the entire world. He’s revealing that He is God in the flesh, the fulfillment of everything those lights represented. The Pharisees immediately challenge Him because they understood the weight of what He was claiming.

Practical Application

If Jesus is the Light, then the question becomes: what are you following?

* If you follow your own feelings, you’ll eventually hit darkness.
* If you follow the world, you’ll end up confused.
* But if you follow Jesus, you will have direction, even when life feels uncertain.

Walking in His light means:

* Choosing truth over comfort
* Obedience over convenience
* Faith over fear

You don’t have to figure everything out — you just have to follow the Light one step at a time. Light doesn’t always show the whole path, but it always shows the next step.

Matthew 9:37–38 (NKJV)
“Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.’”

CONTENT:
Jesus is revealing a powerful truth. There is no shortage of people who need God. The harvest is ready right now. Hearts are open, people are searching, lives are broken and in need of truth. The problem is not the harvest, it is the lack of laborers. God is looking for people willing to step in, to serve, to speak, to love, and to represent Him. This is not just about pastors or missionaries. This is about every believer recognizing that they are called to be part of the work.

CONTEXT:
Right before this, Jesus is moved with compassion as He sees the crowds, “weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.” He is not speaking from distance. He is speaking from deep compassion. Then He turns to His disciples and shifts the responsibility. He tells them to pray for more laborers, not just observe the need. This is a moment where Jesus is inviting them into the mission, preparing them to go out and do what He has been doing.

PRACTICAL APPLICATION:
Stop waiting for someone else to step up. You are the laborer. Start by praying, just like Jesus said. Ask God to send workers, and be ready when He sends you. Look at your everyday life differently. Your job sites, your business, your conversations, your relationships, those are all part of the harvest field. Be intentional. Show love. Speak truth. Lead with compassion. The harvest is not the problem. Availability is.

Ezekiel 36:26 (NKJV)
“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.”

Content
God isn’t interested in surface-level change. He goes straight to the core. A “heart of stone” represents stubbornness, pride, and resistance to God. A “heart of flesh” represents sensitivity, humility, and responsiveness to His voice. This is a full internal transformation, not behavior management.

Context
In Book of Ezekiel, God is speaking to Israel during a time of exile and spiritual failure. They had turned away from Him repeatedly, yet He promises restoration not based on their goodness, but on His mercy. This verse is part of a larger promise that God Himself will cleanse them, renew them, and bring them back into right relationship with Him.

Practical Application
You can’t force a soft heart. You can position yourself, but only God can transform you. If you feel hardened by life, hurt, stress, or success, don’t ignore it, bring it to God. Ask Him to remove anything in you that has become cold or resistant. Let Him reshape your desires so you naturally pursue what is right. Real growth happens when your heart starts to align with His will, not just your actions.

Acts 10:43

“All the prophets testify about Him that everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins through His name.”

Some of you are still asking God to forgive you for something He already forgave you for… and it’s keeping you stuck.

Content
This verse makes it simple: the entire Bible points to Jesus, and forgiveness comes through Him alone. Not through your effort. Not through your track record. Not through trying to be better this time. Through Him. And the promise is clear—everyone who believes receives forgiveness. Not partial forgiveness. Not temporary forgiveness. Complete, full, once-and-for-all forgiveness through His name.

Context
Peter is speaking to Cornelius, a Gentile. Up until this moment, many thought this message was only for a certain group of people. But God was making something very clear: this isn’t exclusive. This isn’t limited. This isn’t just for the “religious” or the “put together.” This is for everyone. The same grace that saves one person saves all who believe. No favoritism. No special access. Just faith.

Practical Application
Stop carrying what God already nailed to the cross. You don’t need to punish yourself for something Jesus already paid for. You don’t need to live in guilt when He’s already given you freedom. Believe it. Receive it. Walk in it. And then extend that same grace to others. Because if it’s for you, it’s for them too.

You’re not fighting for forgiveness… you’re living from it.
