A big thanks to @perspectivepaintdesign who did a fantastic job with our surface prep and final mural coating.
Thank you as well to @mainstreetoceanside @gonctd @caltransdistrict7 for hosting the event and playing a huge role in the logistics and passion of the project. And finally thank you to everyone who voted for my design to be painted, we made it happen.

thank u guys soooo much for coming to celebrate u have no idea how much it means to me 😭♥️ it’s by no means my first mural on my own, but it very much is the first time I’ve been allowed and ENCOURAGED to express myself fully, uncensored, the way art should be made! Humongous thank you to @xoque_artinmotion & @norellmartinez & @centrocultural for including me & trusting me to be a part of something so badass!! I am so bummed I didn’t get pictures with everyone I know D: but I have u in my memory and in my HEART :3

This week I joined my daughter’s field trip to Centro Cultural de la Raza… and something powerful happened. 🎨

I saw a mural that I thought was finished.

Minutes later I met the muralist @signeditona and realized it was still being created. I stood there watching as every stroke brought the message to life.

White background
Black and red paint
And a message that speaks louder than words ❤️🖤

Later this week I saw the finished piece online and the power of it came straight through the screen. I can only imagine what it feels like standing in front of it in person.

Today, in honor of International Women’s Day ✨ I encourage you to experience it.
