The gigs are probably 10% of what being a full-time artist actually looks like.

The other 90% is this.

It’s how I start my mornings. Meditation, journaling, moving my body, the things that keep me grounded before I give my energy to everything else.

It’s hours spent finding new music, practicing, working on mixes, answering emails, reaching out for bookings, and figuring out what I’m building next.

But I’ve also learned that taking my career seriously doesn’t mean working every second of the day.

It’s going to shows and staying inspired. Spending time with people I love. Cooking at home, touching grass, side questing, and actually living a life that makes me want to create.

I’m still figuring it out, but I’m learning that becoming the artist I want to be has as much to do with how I live my life as what happens behind the decks.

not a post about work❤️a reminder to enjoy life & stop romanticizing ‘grinding’ nonstop

so fkn grateful for where life has taken me lately, but I’ve also felt pressure on social media to make it look like I’m crushing it 24/7. to always be talking about huge moments. I realized the feed has started to look like a highlight reel.

so this post is the opposite of that. this is my real life. these are people that I love more than anything & moments that mean more to me than work ever could.

‘curate your feed’, ‘edit that photo’, ‘what will people think?’ - it’s not that deep bro❤️

accomplishments are great, but you’ll never get time back with people you love man. your parents will be gone one day. life moves pretty fast, so don’t miss out on the beautiful moments with your people.

I’ve been going pretty hard the past few months & working on cool stuff - but these are my favorite pictures in the camera roll.

if you’ve been feeling that pressure to make your life look perfect or grind nonstop - here’s your reminder that there is way more to life than your career or your content<3
