Tom Ammermann from New Audio Technology will be demonstrating an incredibly versatile and flexible processor for immersive audio. If you’d like to see more of the demonstration, there are dedicated slots to see how it’s all working in more depth - this is on request so please go and find Tom during the festival!

Announcing ~ Immersive Audio Exhibition artists for @fulldomeuk at @cultvrlab 9th-10th of October in the Spatial Gathering space.

As part of FDUK 2026 at CULTVR, Spatial Gathering presents an immersive audio exhibition of 24 immersive sound works by artists from across the world.

Selected through an international open call, the exhibition brings together a diverse range of approaches to contemporary sound and listening. The works span electroacoustic composition, electronic music, songwriting, field recordings and experimental sound practices, creating a varied collection of sonic experiences.

Utilizing an 8.1 sound system, some pieces explore carefully constructed electronic and acoustic textures, while others draw from environments, voices, found sounds and lived experience. Together, the works demonstrate the breadth of approaches to immersive audio, bringing contrasting practices and perspectives into a shared listening environment. The exhibition invites audiences to spend time with the individual works, encountering different sonic worlds and discovering the voices of artists working across a range of places, disciplines and contexts.

The Spatial Gathering exhibition contributes to a wider FDUK 2026 programme bringing fulldome works and immersive audio together within one conference, creating opportunities for artists and audiences to experience different forms of spatial and immersive practice alongside one another.

The exhibition forms part of the Spatial Gathering’s ongoing work to create opportunities for artists to experiment with spatial audio and to connect audiences with new and diverse approaches to sound. This exhibition is supported by BEAST (Birmingham ElectroAcoustic Sound Theatre), The University of Birmingham.

-----

A first educational group visit built around KONESANS, sort of a collective dream experienced in an intimate setting. 23 fourth-grade students, 90 mins split into three rotating components: listening, studio visit, guided discussion.

A format I developed with the support of @phi.officiel to encourage discovery, reflection, and imagination around a simple yet precious act: listening.

Girls’ day idea in Old Montréal 💜
Catching out with music lovers.
Let’s switch our food catch-up to food for our souls ✨

Habitat Sonore: Éveil printanier is the kind of Lo-Fi immersive sound experience that makes you slow down and reset from work & life balanced 🫶🏼

I usually listen to @sikavalme music while taking Metro or Bixi and brought my thoughts to the ocean. Think: soft conversations, mindful moments, and getting lost in sound together 🎶 Featuring Konesans by Sika Valmé and SALAM by El Mehdi at @phi.officiel.it’s a gentle escape right in the city.

Perfect ending tasting Japanese food at @yataimtl (June 4-7) and bixi home with beautiful sunset. Perfect girls day to welcome summer🎏

📍PHI Center
407 rue Saint-Pierre, Montréal
📅 April 8 to June 7, 2026

💬Good to make memory with bestie @verdedionnevideography and listen to my fave music 🎧 Vini Vini by @sikavalme, Which music you usually listen to while taking transportation? Share down the comments, I would to join your journey🎶

First edition🫰🏽Girls’ Night

One of the things that makes living in Montreal so special is being able to go from being completely immersed in a sound experience to stepping into a restaurant that feels like the Caribbean in the city!

And that’s exactly what we did.

A huge thank you to @sikavalme for the invitation to Konesans! We loved experiencing your beautifully curated sound voyage. If you’re curious, it’s playing at the @phi.officiel PHI Centre until June 7.

And of course there was food, dinner at @pikliz.mtl. We ordered the tasting menu for two, but let’s be honest it comfortably feeds more than two people. We left full, happy, and giggling. Or maybe that’s just me.

If you want to hang out with some cool kids, let me know. I’ll try to remember to invite you next time. 🤣🤣🤣
