Divine Fate is exactly what I wanted from a finale. Fast-paced, action-heavy, emotionally satisfying and with the perfect amount of spice woven through the chaos.

Maven’s arc was enormous, both personally and within the wider story. I love her fear of the L word, her absolute disgust whenever feelings try to happen, and the fact that underneath all of that she loves with terrifying ferocity. 😂 She grows so much through the series and in this book particularly without ever losing that detached, murderous, gloriously Maven energy that made me love her in the first place.

Cassandra King, Isaac Epinal, Jonathan Waters, Benjamin Sands and Silas Hart bring so much personality to this finale, but Cassandra King deserves a special mention for the sheer range she shows.

Maven has such a deliberately flat, almost bored delivery, yet King somehow manages to evolve that voice across the series so you can hear the emotion underneath the emotional detachment. Then she switches into Kensie’s bright, peppy, completely over-the-top energy and genuinely sounds like an entirely different narrator.

Every why choose series gives me one favourite MMC and one man I’d happily vote off the island. Silas? Pack your bags. Although, credit where it’s due, I actually think this was his best book.

Crypt Delune, however, remains untouchable and Isaac Epinal performance brings Crypt’s obsessive, rapturous devotion to Maven to life. Every line between them lands exactly as it should, and I genuinely do not care how many times he says “my dark little darling.” I will swoon every time.

Morgan B Lee is insanely good at making you care about every relationship: romantic, friendship, family and found family. Once you hit play it’s basically impossible to pause.

This series is criminally underhyped. If you like why choose, academy settings, magic, obsessive men, found family, humour, sarcasm or fantasy that actually feels different from everything else you’ve read, READ IT.

💎 Heist • Thieves of Clover
By: Ruby M. Darling @authorrubymdarling

🎙️Narrated in DUET by:
Joe Arden @therealjoearden
Rachel Dane @racheldanevo
Silas Hart

While my words might not perfectly capture the emotions I felt while listening to this audiobook, I believe some of these memes and quotes can.

Heist was an obsession the entire time, and I will be thinking of Jasper and Dahlia for a long time! First off, please take a moment to check the trigger warnings. If you’re okay with them, get ready to fall head over heels for Jasper Collins.

First off, this was the first time I’ve listened to an audio with background sounds, and it was such a cool addition! If that wasn’t enough to get you hooked, Joe Arden, Rachelle Dane, and Silas Hart narrating this story in duet gave me life! I loved Jasper Collins, and Joe Arden gave this man a heartbeat, making you feel his pain, sorrow, possessiveness to protect what he loves, and how he held those close to him in such high regard. The dirty mouth this man has not only solidifies his need for Delilah, but it also made you feel the raw, genuine care he had for her. Jasper wasn’t just trying to protect his mother and sister; Delilah coming into his life just made him feral to protect the life he desired with her.

And that epilogue? Wow, the way Rachel Dane portrayed Delilah’s emotions throughout the entire story, and especially in the epilogue, really made me feel for everything she’s been through. I broke down for Delilah, and I was so impressed with Rachel’s performance.

🫶🏼 Thank you, BNA @bluenoseaudio , for the opportunity to listen and review.

@authorrubymdarling created a timeless love story with Heist! The 1950s setting gives this story an extra layer of personality I didn’t know I needed. Rachal Dane was the perfect Dahlia in every way, and Joe Arden and Silas Hart gave Jasper and the boys so much character and emotion. Jasper had me falling for a fictional man like I’d been waiting for him my whole life, and Dahlia was his perfect obsession. A greaser and a singer from different sides of the tracks? How could I not root for them?

The chemistry between the characters drew me in, but the emotion behind their connections kept me turning the pages. I had a romance to swoon over, a found family to feel part of, and a world I could get completely lost in. Ruby made these characters feel like people I wanted to be friends with.

@racheldanevo was the perfect Dahlia in every way!! @therealjoearden and @silashartvo gave Jasper and the boys so much character and emotion.

An easy five stars for a story full of heart, tension, and characters who stayed with me long after the last page. My best dark romance read of 2026!

RAZZLED MY BERRIES!! 5⭐️ 5🌶️ — HEIST by @authorrubymdarling is a 1950s dark romance, inspired by true crime events from the era, and you can easily feel how much research went into the details. Not only do we get a love story about two people from opposite sides of the tracks, we also get immersed in the lives and motives of all the characters, along with the detailed planning and execution of the theft. Dahlia Murphy and Jasper Collins are the main characters, but the side characters also made quite an impression and had me feeling for them just as much. The slang and terms from that era, depictions of the locations (especially during their heist planning), sultry vibes of the jazz club scenes, even the specifics on clothing and hairstyles, truly made me feel like I had taken a step back in time and submerged me even deeper into the storyline.

Each of the guys have their own money issues and reasons, bringing forth an emotional investment to each of them and their situations.

Jasper runs into Dahlia, years after they’d graduated high school, having a newfound appreciation for the young woman she’s grown into, and the instant chemistry has him quickly consumed with thoughts of her. Dahlia has always had a crush on Jasper, so it doesn’t take long for them to give into their attraction and desire for one another — and boy, does it get hot-hot-hot!! Jasper can jostle my peepers anytime!! 🥵🔥😏

The brotherly bond and support between the guys is deep and their banter, (especially with Jasper’s mom), is laugh out loud funny, heartfelt and familial. Even from an era when women had very-little-to-no rights, Dahlia found her voice and strength while Jasper helped support and coax out her black kitten energy.

This story definitely had me feeling ALL the feels. No emotion was left out, and I could not put it down!!

The audiobook is perfection, featuring the insanely talented voices of @racheldanevo, @therealjoearden and @silashartvo. Produced by @bluenoseaudio, performed in duet multicast with immersive audio. I loved the small background noises pulling me deeper into the scenes. Masterfully done!!! It truly is the bee’s knees!

Heist: Thieves of Clover
by @authorrubymdarling
Performed by @racheldanevo
@therealjoearden and @silashartvo

The Blurb

The Fox.

They say circumstances either make or break a man—I let them do both. Never in my life did i think I’d have to become a criminal just to get by... but like I said—circumstances change you. Some for the better... some for the worse. And the best change of all may just be my downfall.

The Songbird.

Never thought I’d be moonlighting as a singer at the infamous Inferno Nightclub could turn into this: Forced to help a band of thieves perform the perfect heist... while falling in love with the man in charge... I just wanted to sing.

I had the honor of reading this book while it was still being written. I knew it was going to be amazing. I knew that Ruby elevated her writing with each word. I also knew that the audiobook was going to be fantastic. I wasn’t prepared for the Time Machine ride back to the 1950s when Joe, Silas and Rachel brought these characters to life.
We all know that Joe Arden is a chameleon and can embody every character he voices, he did just that. The Irish accent, the Bostonian accent, the 1950s slang, all of it exceptional!
Silas Hart, stepping in at the last moment, was absolutely meant to be. Bringing the side characters to life with their quirks, their accents and the unbelievable emotions. He nailed it. I was impressed and I was shredded.
Rachel Dane, oh how I love you, you blew me away! You know how they say that some people are the Queen of this or the Duchess of that? You, Rachel are the Queen of Emotion. I don’t think there is an emotion that you cannot take on and master. You bring every reader who is listening to their knees. I bawled my eyes out for Rowena, I championed you as Dahlia against Cormac, and I felt the passion with Jasper.
And if all three of these actors weren’t enough to make you feel with each of these characters what they were going through, the audiobook was immersive. The poker chips on the table, the car door slamming, the footsteps, the telephone ringing... transported me to the 1950s, an era l’ve always wanted to experience and got to, thanks to Heist.

Thank you @bluenoseaudio and @authorrubymdarling for the ear pleasure.

When @authorrubymdarling shared that she was writing a book ONLY during her ovulation cycle, I was pumped! So imagine my excitement when I got the ALC!

Ruby gave us a spicy Robin Hood with SMUT!

Jasper Collins, aka the Fox, takes care of what's his. His momma, his girl, his boys, and his community. Everything he does is driven by his need to protect the people he loves. Even when his decisions are questionable, you understand WHY he makes them.

And then there's Daliah, the Songbird. Our good girl gone rogue! 😏

The chemistry between these two is TANGIBLE. You feel it in your gut! Their moments together are equal parts beautiful and absolutely FILTHY.

But what I really loved? Ruby makes you fall in love with EVERY character. There are no "side" characters here. Everyone has a presence, a purpose, and a reason you become invested.

OKAY, OKAY! NOW THAT NARRATION! 🎧🔥
@therealjoearden SIR. 👏

There's a reason I fell in love with his work back when I listened to Flock. This performance reminded me exactly why I love his art. That soft but direct delivery? The quiet authority?

I SWOON. Every. Single. Time. 🫠

NOW!...@racheldanevo 👏

Narrating alongside Joe Arden could be intimidating, but GIRL, YOU KILLED IT!

I was genuinely SHOOK by how incredible Rachel was. And for me? SHE STOLE THE SHOW!

She brought multiple female characters to life, including those 1950s-style accents, and I am not exaggerating when I say EVERY character sounded like her own person.

The range. The delivery. The personality. The way she completely transformed between characters?!

Rachel, I knew you were good, but you've officially earned a place among the GREATS in my book!

She didn't just hold her own. She delivered one of my favorite female narration performances!

I've listened to @silashartvo , but this performance took my appreciation for his work to another level!
He blended seamlessly with Joe and Rachel, bringing his characters to life while holding his own alongside two incredible performers.
His delivery felt natural, his characters were distinct, and he fit perfectly into the cast!

“You’re mine now, Songbird. You only sing for me.”

Ruby.. Ruby.. RUBY.
When I asked you at the hang out if the book was going to ruin me, I wasn’t expecting this. This much hurt and love and everything else in between. You’ve ruined me completely.

This book had me hanging on the edge of my seat just waiting… waiting for what was coming and I could have never expected the worse. This book was 1000 stars out of 10. To be able to read this one over without knowing, oh how I wish.

Clearly you can tell how much I loved it because of all the tabs. I’ve never tabbed so much in my life. Each color for a different character and the way I fell in love with each one a different way.

Immerse reading along with it, only for @racheldanevo , @therealjoearden and @silashartvo to fucking break my heart into a a million shattering pieces.

“My prayer?”
“Yeah.. I mean.. it worked last time, right?”

……

“I didn’t mean to fall for her, I swear it.”

……

“We’re heathens, baby. Criminals infatuated with the way you sound and look when you come for us. But you like that, don’t you, little star?”

……

An Immersive Audiobook Narrated by @racheldanevo @therealjoearden and @silashartvo

Produced by @bluenoseaudio
This audiobook is a whole experience. I was blasted back into the 1950s with this incredible masterpiece.

I eyeball read this book first and the way this audiobook truly brought this story to life. I wish I could listen to it for the first time again.

Rachel Dane, Joe Arden and Silas Hart have out done themselves.

They each brought their own characters to life. Perfectly casted! Rachel brought gave Dahlia the perfect amount of raw emotion and class. Joe and that accent. He was perfect for bringing Jaspers intensity yet softness to life. Silas! This was my first time hearing him narrate a book and he has been added to my top list. He did an incredible job with the rest of the cast. His raw emotion and accents were perfect.

I’m in awe and writing this review took me so long because I honestly can’t put into words the way I feel about this book. Just please take the time to listen and enjoy this cinematic masterpiece.

Tropes ~
Greaser x Songbird
1950s Dark Romance
Good Girl Gone Rogue
Found Family

This book gives robinhood esque vibes with a side of boondock saints and some Irish peaky blinder vibes. I loved every second.

Thank you to Blue Nose Audio and Ruby M Darling for the opportunity to ALC this one. As always my opinions are my own.
