To the average viewer, The Lycett Arms may have looked like a glorified excuse to host a free bar, make lewd jokes about getting sucked off at the British Transport Museum/Screwfix/The Last Night of the Proms while simultaneously forcing Lorraine Kelly to say ‘cunt’ against her will on live TV. But I saw much more depth and sophistication than that. For example, Tony Hadley was there once.

What I witnessed was a masterclass in pipeline execution, with Joe and the team taking a semi firm prospect, working the shaft of opportunity until it yields and refusing to stop until the competition is completely swallowed. Now does that sound lewd and chaotic to you? Well you must be thick as shit then because it’s ACTUALLY high level corporate synergy✨

Here’s what The Lycett Arms taught me about B2B (Blozzer to Blozzer) sales. And sure, BBC One managed to beat them off in the ratings this time, but I know they’ll be coming back refreshed and raring to pound ‘Amanda Holden’s Inner Circle’ next series 😎👏🚀💯👍💡📈💷⭕️

Mark Silcox Headlining in Hammermsith – 5 great comedy acts and a live band @thedistillers on Friday 6th November. Tickets now on sale - link in the @lolipopscomedy bio!

Doors open 6.45. Before the comedy show starts grab a discounted drink and listen to the fantastic live band Rubik and the Cuboids - If Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet and Frankie Goes to Hollywood had a lovechild, it might sound a bit like these guys.

10% off drinks with a comedy ticket.

After the tunes we have Comedy at 7.30 hosted by the fantastic MC Julius Howe

Our headliner this month is

You may have seen him as Joe Lycett’s sidekick or as uncle Shady in Man Like Mobeen but you must see his standup! A master of the understated and a cult favourite on the circuit he is the deadpan genius who nearly broke Greg Davies on Taskmaster. “Mark Silcox is certainly redefining comedy” Steve Bennett Chortle.

Supporting Mark are 4 fantastic acts:

Joe da Costa
Musical hilarity from start to finish. As well as being a top standup Joe has as scored music for 8 out of 10 cats, Richard Ayoade’s question team, the delightful sausage and many more.

Keeley Taverner
A stand-up and psychotherapist from a North West London council estate - mining race, class and social mobility for warm, sharp, lived-in comedy.

Mark Moloney
One of the great losers of our time. Mark’s unique deadpan blend of surreal and visual comedy saw him win the Smok’d Crack New Comedian of the Year 2026. He was also shortlisted for the BBC New Comedy Awards 2025, and made the final of the Leicester Square Theatre New Comedian of the Year 2024.

Michael O’Donnell
A film-maker and comedian. Michael has travelled the world looking for the funny in the strangest of places.

Hosted by our MC Julius Howe “A true hit. Julius embodies the generational voice of so many” – NORTH WEST END

And for all you budding popstars - after the comedy finishes The Distillers has a karaoke night downstairs!
