In what is now becoming a birthday week tradition I’ve been to see the marvellous @silly.billy.pokes who has marked me up with his whimsical interpretation of the Lambton Worm. I adore Billy’s style, and I know this will make me grin (and sing) every time I look at it.
(For you non-Geordies, this is a north east legend that’s worth looking up and every kid learns the brilliant song in infant school. It is the best song to sing/shout along to, whether you’re 6 or 96.)

With big news (I’m moving!) comes a big appreciation post🥹

Meet @sillybillypokes, our new Community Artist & creator of our ‘ally tips’ digital sticker! 🎨

Earlier this Summer, we launched a search for new artists to collab with for digital stickers, which help us evolve & enhance our online branding and messaging.

We were overwhelmed with replies from talented creatives sharing their work from across the UK - thank you to everyone who took the time to apply! Keep an eye out for future opportunities like these on our page.

quite a few people felt let down by the eclipse on Wednesday but my favourite part was the community.

strangers sitting together, staring (safely) at the sun.

there’s something really beautiful about humans gathering to witness something bigger than themselves. we’ve been looking up at the sky, making meaning from it and experiencing it together for as long as we’ve been capable of doing so.

everyone just stopped for a moment and looked but we did it all together. I really like that

As many of you know, today marks 100 years since the beginning of greyhound racing.

Right now greyhounds are in kennels up and down the country waiting to be raced. No animal should be used or exploited for the gain or enjoyment of any person.

346 greyhounds lost their lives due to racing-related causes in 2024 and a further 3,809 sustained injuries. That’s nearly one greyhound dying a day. The racing industry knows this, and by forcing them onto tracks they are killing them.

What a better piece to share today that the art swap I did with @silly.billy.pokes 🐾

If you’ve ever met a rescued greyhound you’ll know how much they love to snooze on the sofa. and so they should 🩷

Oakley loves to run (see video) but on his terms. no being should be forced to do things they don’t want to do. Seeing him run for fun in one of the best things and I wish every dog could be as free as him

Almost everything I did and ate in Brighton!!

I love Brighton so much I had to make a day out of it after travelling to get poked by @silly.billy.pokes

I challenged myself by hiding some free art - I hate filming in public/ feeling like people are watching me/ fear of being perceived but I did it! The one I hid in @lucyandyakbrighton has been found 🕵️‍♂️

Ate good food, sipped matcha, browsed arty things, said hi to cute dogs, ordered a large ice cream because I liked the look of the cone and gave myself sugar overload 🥴
