What does it really mean to belong at work? Beyond getting hired, inclusion is about being heard, understood, supported, and given the space to work as yourself. This October 15, Workplace Voices brings together ABS, Inc., Silong ND Space with Care & Connect and Autistic Titas, and Unawa Circle to talk about neurodiversity, mental well-being, accommodations, and what inclusive workplaces look like in practice. October 15, 2026 | 8:00–9:00 PM PHT | Zoom Register: https://bit.ly/WorkplaceVoices Continue the conversation at the 3rd ABS International Summit on November 21, 2026. Summit registration: https://forms.gle/jm938YZX9woJVfKF6 Come with your experiences. How can parents support a neurodivergent child when they’re expected to handle everything on their own? In Episode 2: Education Voices of the Bayanihan Conversation Series, Dr. Diana Baranovich reminds us that some needs call for professional assessment and support. Parents play a vital role, but they need people with the right expertise beside them. What kind of professional support would make the biggest difference for families in your community? #BayanihanConversationSeries #EducationVoices #Neurodiversity #InclusiveEducation #FamilySupport

What if the systems we call “inclusive” still don’t feel inclusive to the people inside them? For Lourmina Sayson, Teacher, Neurodivergent Adult, ABS Member, and Silong ND Space Volunteer, this question comes from both sides of the classroom. She sees how executive dysfunction can be mistaken for misbehavior, how coping strategies can be treated as distractions, and how mental health needs can go unrecognized. But she also knows what it feels like to navigate these systems herself. Her perspective reminds us that inclusion cannot simply be written into policy. It has to be felt by the people it is meant to include. Continue the conversation with us at Workplace Voices this October and the 3rd ABS International Summit on November 21. “When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’” – Fred Rogers Missed the webinar or need a recap? Our team created a digital handout highlighting the key points discussed during our recently concluded workshop, Introduction to Psychological First Aid: Supporting Neurodivergent People During Crisis and Distress. During the workshop, participants were introduced to Psychological First Aid (PFA) through a neuroaffirmative lens. Along with learning the Look, Listen, and Link framework, participants explored the importance of recognizing that people may experience and respond to crisis differently, and that meaningful support begins with paying attention to each person’s individual needs, communication, preferences, and circumstances. And if there is a mental health topic you would like us to explore, or if you would like to invite Unawa Circle to facilitate a mental health webinar for your organization, school, workplace, or community, let us know in the comments or send your proposal to unawacircle@gmail.com. Curious to learn more? Stay tuned for further updates from Unawa Circle. #unawacircle #silong #PsychologicalFirstAid

Look, Listen, Link! Unawa Circle has recently concluded its first workshop on Introduction to Psychological First Aid. The event was facilitated by Ms. Jessa Catada, RPm, RPsy and hosted by Mr. Karl Quilal-an, RPm. The workshop presented basic principles of Psychological First Aid with a focus on how to deliver it to neurodivergent individuals in crisis situations. We sincerely thank Karl and Jessa for their time and expertise. We are also grateful to SilongND space for the support and opportunity to collaborate once more. Finally, we would also like to thank the community members who offered their time to participate with curious minds and compassionate hearts. #unawacircle #silong #PsychologicalFirstAid

Sometimes, understanding yourself comes later than it should. For Kitin Miranda, a late-diagnosed neurodivergent and one of the Autistic Titas, a partner of Silong ND Space, receiving a diagnosis meant finally having context for experiences she had carried for years. Her story speaks to something often missed in conversations about neurodiversity: the people who spend years adapting, masking, and trying to understand why they experience the world differently. Late diagnosis doesn’t begin the story. It gives language to a story already lived. Kitin shared her perspective through the ABS Bayanihan Conversation Series, where lived experience is not an afterthought, but part of the conversation.
