From performing first time as an actor with @silsilatheater to performing in various events . The one in this was with @themodernpoets7

Thank you God for bringing me back to the field of art. The art which had lost it,'s way in my life. The art which makes me alive every single day ❤️

theatres are sacred spaces, and watching @silsilatheater’s Pagla Ghoda this past Saturday reminded me exactly why i believe that so firmly.

for two hours, a ragtag bunch of people (exemplary performers all) come together and become something else entirely — a story from a different world, someone else’s mind. they took me by the hand and led me into a story i might have never encountered otherwise — and gave me leave to inhabit it wholly for two hours.

i was completely, entirely present on that graveyard with the crackling fire and crunching leaves, a partner in the night of drinking with the four men reminiscing about the women they loved and left behind. i can’t do this out here — but they allowed me to, by invitation, in there.

i laughed with them, wept with them, praised their poetry, held my breath as they recounted their lives — all as a spectator. because they let me in.

for two hours, i forgot myself. for two hours, i became someone else. for two hours, i belonged to them entirely. a privilege of the highest order.

there aren’t words enough to thank you guys for that. much love. xx

PS — @torshaaa98 takes pride of place in that photo because i was too busy piling applause on the performers but this lil love letter o’ mine belongs equally to @khanzeeez. a+ play guys, ABSOLUTELY IMPATIENT FOR THE NEXT ONE. love u, u make me so proud!!!
