Today I got to see my eldest son, Bryan’s, first end zone catch of the season! 🏈🔥

Today was one of those proud dad moments that reminded me that hard work pays off.

People see the TD catch, but they don’t always see what it took to get there, the 5 AM workouts, the long practices, the off season workout program, the sacrifices, the discipline, the 2 years waiting for that moment, and all the work being put in when nobody is watching.

But what made me even prouder happened after the game.

Bryan walked to the middle of the field, got down, prayed, and thanked God. 🙏🏻

What we always teach our children is to always be thankful and grateful for every opportunity the Lord has provided and that faith, character, discipline, and consistency will outweigh talent.

There is still so much work to be done and a lot more to prove, but for a kid who never played football until high school, seeing the work begin to show in his third year is amazing. Watching his growth and seeing his dedication start to pay off has been such a blessing. Today might have been just a two-point conversion, but to me, it was a sign that the hard work is paying off. 🏈🙏🏻

So proud of you, kiddo. ❤️

If you want to shine when the lights are on, you have to get gritty in the dark… Had some fun running with @sheawillcox1 — he’ll tell you himself, these dudes are no joke!

Our high school football training group understands that, the hill ain’t for the weak minded and these guys crushed it.
