Filaments is out now! and the last three tracks are available to stream and download with purchases. @tony_surgeon (@editionsmego, Old Technology, Dynamic Tension) provided the inspiration for the compilation’s title with his track Silver Filaments Connecting Us All. Its bittersweet arpeggios entwine, twist and unravel again before handing over to @iamloula (Truxalis, DiN, @castlesinspace, @quietdetails_) who picks up this thread, and seems to weave her modular arps into question marks. Polypores @sjbuckers (@aural_canyon, quiet details, @crackedanklesrecords) concludes the compilation with layers of polyrhythms, just as creative, defiant and uncategorisable as ever.

This compilation is the culmination of 22 months work and represents a statement of intent for the label showcasing many of the artists I respect and admire. I'm so incredibly grateful to them all for trusting me with their music and I'm having a real "pinch me" moment today. Please do explore those artists you don't know well already, I promise you have a lot of great music to experience.

With huge thanks to @catebrooksmusic, @bea_brennan, @rjraffa, @hvrlon, @mareena_bln, @chloeharris_raica, @erikadotnet , @anaquiroga__ and @leilehualanzilotti, @clavendr, @tony_surgeon, @iamloula and @sjbuckers for your music and patience. And to @plant43art for the wonderful cover and @quietdetails_ for making a cohesive whole from so many individual sound worlds. 🖤🪡🌌

Also up today, Alterations Volume One by me (@jojohnson.tinysilences). Both CDs are on Bandcamp (bundles also available for a discount and cheaper shipping) and in good shops.

I'd better get on with shipping! Have a great day.

More deep music: I’m very happy to be part of Filaments, a compilation on @jojohnson.tinysilences @silver.threads.label 🪡

My track „Trompos“ was originally created during my artist residency in Mexico City last year and is dedicated to the Trompo, a playful little object whose spinning movement and colours were a joy to watch. Something grounding in watching it turn and letting the music find its own way 🌀

A little fragment of that time, now finding its way into the world.

Jo is one of my favourite synth ambient queens. The subtlety in her music and live sets, her calm presence and professionalism are a real joy. Also my first track released on CD. Vinyl, cassette, CD. I guess my physical media collection is now complete :)

Beautiful artwork by Emile Facey aka @plant43 and thoughtful mastering by @quietdetails_ ✨

Head over to @silver.threads.label Bandcamp to listen to the full compilation.

Honoured to be among these artists I deeply admire ♡

Have a good start to the week,
Mareena

One year old today! Second run incoming.

My album Alterations Volume One and my label @silver.threads.label were “born” on 9th September 2025.

Alterations comprises all the music I made for my Alterations project last year, and some of my writing is collected in a little booklet. The double CD album sold out a while ago but I've ordered a second run for this anniversary.

It'll be available via Bandcamp eventually but if you're in Dublin, I'll have a few with me at @apartment_rec at @bellobardublin this Friday. Tickets here: https://ra.co/events/2496086
