🫐 BOATYARD BLUES & BURNT CHEESECAKE! ⛵️💙 Stuck in a boatyard in Virginia, missing the Mediterranean sunshine… so we’re baking a little happiness! 😂☀️ Meet our AIR FRYER BLUEBERRY BASQUE-STYLE CHEESECAKE — simple ingredients, big flavour, and a hint of lemony sunshine! 🍋✨ 🫐 INGREDIENTS 🥣 2 cups thick Greek yoghurt 🥚 3 fresh eggs 🍯 3 tbsp Manuka honey 🌽 3 tbsp cornflour 🍋 Lemon zest 🫐 Fresh blueberries 👩🏻‍🍳 METHOD 1️⃣ Whisk yoghurt, eggs, honey, cornflour & lemon zest until smooth. 2️⃣ Fold in blueberries and pour into a lined cake tin. 3️⃣ Air fry Bake at 160°C for 22 mins. 4️⃣ Crank it up to 190°C for 7 mins for that gorgeous golden top! 🔥 ❄️ Cool, chill and enjoy! Maybe drizzle a little more honey 🍯 when serve. It was one of those perfect days ❤️🇮🇹… Being with my Louisa’s Honey family at Festival Italia, Brands Hatch @brandshatchofficial, was such a joy. A heartfelt thank you to our brilliant Louisa @louisas_honey, Simon and Peter @peter.foster.378 for bringing us all together and creating such a fantastic day with Thermomix @thermomixukandireland 🥂🏎️🇮🇹! I had SO much fun cooking alongside my MasterChef friends James @silverfoxcooks, Forest @forestkwok and Yemi @yummy_bydesign, and it was such a pleasure to meet Emma @emma.inthemix from Thermomix in person. What a fantastic day at Festival Italia 🇮🇹 @brandshatchofficial There were so many highlights - meeting the most wonderful chefs, including @silverfoxcooks @forestkwok and @thuycooks and seeing our olive oil and balsamics in the Chef’s Kitchen, being used throughout the day in some incredible cooking demonstrations. A particular highlight was watching @emma.inthemix use our Bianco Balsamico in her delicious Sicilian caponata - such a perfect dish for beautiful olive oil and balsamic. 🍅🍆🫒 A big thank you @louisas_honey for including us and as always, we loved meeting so many of you, chatting about what we do and seeing you taste our olive oil and balsamics. PASSION 🇮🇹❤️ What a fantastic day surrounded by sunshine, incredible artisan produce and people who are truly passionate about what they do. It was a pleasure hosting and chatting with the incredibly talented @forestkwok as he prepared his Italian-inspired dish. Rich, decadent and absolutely delicious, every bite showcased his creativity, skill and respect for quality ingredients. A real pleasure to watch and taste. Meeting @louisas_honey and hearing the story behind her amazing honey made the day even more special. Her honey really is exceptional and proves that when you start with outstanding produce, the flavour speaks for itself. 🍯 Days like these remind me that the best ingredient isn’t just what’s on the plate, it’s the passion behind it. Food has an incredible way of bringing people together, creating conversations, sharing stories and celebrating the people behind the produce. 🇮🇹 What happens when Italian food, MasterChef talent, Thermomix and multi-award-winning honey come together at Brands Hatch @brandshatchofficial? Welcome to The Italian Kitchen at Festival Italia — presented by Louisa’s Honey x Thermomix. 🍯 I had the pleasure of being behind the camera for the event, capturing the chefs, the dishes and everything happening inside the kitchen throughout the day. Hosted by @chef_john_paul_alberti, with former MasterChef quarter and semi-finalists @silverfoxcooks @thuycooks @yummy_bydesign @forestkwok, alongside Thermomix advisor and representative @emma.inthemix. And there was one ingredient running through the dishes that deserves its own story. 🍯 @louisashoney Coriander. Citrus. Lime. Acacia. Ginger. (more flavours available) But here's the important part: They are NOT infused honeys. The flavours aren't added afterwards. The bees naturally forage within controlled orchards where these different plants are grown, allowing each honey to develop its own distinctive flavour profile from the nectar collected. And watching the chefs work with them showed exactly why honey doesn't have to mean simply “sweet.” Across the kitchen, it became a glaze. A balance to acidity. A layer of floral complexity. A finishing note. Sometimes subtle. Sometimes unmistakable. One ingredient — completely different personalities depending on what surrounded it. And perhaps that's what made this collaboration between Louisa’s Honey x Thermomix so interesting to capture. It wasn't simply about putting honey into a dish.
