🇷🇴🇪🇺 Last night, a Russian drone struck a residential building in Galați, Romania. Two people were injured and dozens were forced to leave their homes.

Our thoughts are with the victims, their families and all those affected by this attack.

As highlighted by Simina Tulbure, President of UEF Romania and member of the UEF Executive Bureau, this incident reminds us that threats to European citizens do not stop at national borders. When a Romanian city is hit, the security of all Europeans is challenged.

Europe cannot rely forever on fragmented national responses. It needs a common defence, integrated air protection systems, shared military capabilities and a unified command structure capable of acting rapidly when European citizens are under threat.

The attack on Galați is another reminder that security in the 21st century requires European solutions. A stronger, federal Europe would be better equipped to protect its citizens wherever they live.

Our solidarity goes to the people of Galați.

A safer Europe requires a united Europe.

La REPER credem într-o Europă:
🇪🇺 care protejează
🇪🇺 care investește
🇪🇺 care poate lua decizii mai rapid și mai democratic
🇪🇺 care apără pacea, libertatea și statul de drept.
Europa nu este o amenințare pentru identitatea noastră, este spațiul în care România poate fi mai puternică, mai respectată și mai influentă.

Cu ocazia Zilei Europei, @siminatulbure.ro, vicepreședintă a partidului REPER, a acordat un interviu publicației Libertatea despre viitorul Uniunii Europene și nevoia unei Europe mai unite și mai capabile să acționeze într-o lume aflată într-o transformare profundă.

„O Europă federală nu înseamnă dispariția statelor naționale sau pierderea identității naționale. Înseamnă o Europă care poate acționa eficient acolo unde statele singure devin prea mici într-o lume dominată de SUA, China sau Rusia.”

Astăzi, de Ziua Europei, spunem clar: viitorul României este în inima proiectului european. Iar viitorul Europei trebuie construit cu mai mult curaj, mai multă solidaritate și mai multă unitate.

La mulți ani, Europa! 💙🇪🇺🇷🇴

Te așteptăm de Ziua Europei la o manifestație europeană pentru Statele Unite ale Europei.

Pe 9 mai nu ieșim doar să sărbătorim, ieșim pentru viitor.
Pentru că da, trăim un moment complicat, și în România, și în Europa. Iar când lucrurile se clatină, ai două opțiuni: stai pe margine sau construiești mai departe. Noi alegem să construim.

O Europă care decide mai repede.

Care se apără.

Care își pune economia la lucru împreună.

Care nu se mai blochează la fiecare veto.

O Europă în care și România contează cu adevărat.

⚖️ In Romania, this right must be protected, not questioned. Because real democracy means trusting people to make decisions about their own lives.

It’s finally my turn to write this.

It’s been a week full of everything: emotions, laughter, stress, uncertainty, and in the end, fulfillment 🤍

This all started as an idea on paper back in March 2025. We slowly built a team, a way of working, and a community. Step by step, with small wins that meant a lot, from receiving the Patronage of the @europeanparliament 🇪🇺 to the incredible collaboration with @fsgc.uvt & @uvt_romania , everything contributed to making this happen. For this great collaboration, many thanks to @dr.jadaneant 🎩

Another big win was the wave of applications, which honestly surprised us, and the fact that we managed to make the entire event free for everyone was something truly meaningful for us. For that, our thanks go to @fitt.timisoara and @edtimisoara

Then the event began, and it almost didn’t feel real. Seeing it all come together, watching people connect, learn, and enjoy the experience made everything worth it. The workshops with @alina.girbea.secretardestat , @siminatulbure.ro , @nicustefanuta truly stood out, giving participants the chance to connect with real voices from the field they aspire to be part of, and they had a strong impact on everyone 💥🇪🇺

I was blessed to have an amazing team. Not just colleagues, but people who stood by each other no matter what, who worked endlessly to make this experience as smooth as possible. I couldn’t have asked for better 🤝

@meu.timisoara is the result of a year of work, but more than that, it gave me moments I’ll never forget and people I’ll keep in my life for a long time🫶🏼

Thank you all for the trust, the energy, and for making this what it became. I’m truly proud of what we built together 🙌

Last week still doesn’t feel real. 🩷
@meu.timisoara was never just an event to me (neither for my team). It was months of preparation, stress, excitement, group chats that didn’t stopped, plans that kept changing and a team that somehow made everything work no matter what.
To my team, I couldn’t ask for better people to work with, you made this experience what it was. All the meetings, the small details, I wouldn’t trade that for anything. Working alongside you didn’t just feel like organising something, it felt like building something real, something we can all be proud of.
MEU Timișoara gave me more than I can ever explain, it gave me people I care about, moments I’ll carry with me for a long time and a feeling of belonging that’s hard to find.
I’m so proud of what we created together, not just as an organiser, but as someone who got to live every moment of it alongside all of you.

Thank you for everything. 💙🇪🇺

Miss Tulbure served on the Committee for Education, the Committee for Budget and she was a Schuman Trainee at the European Parliament, gaining direct experience which she will share with you.
