If you grew up watching MTV in the '90s, you knew the iconic @jewel. Three decades later, she's debuting her first major solo art exhibition, Matriclysm: An Archaeology of Connections Lost, during the 62nd Venice Biennale.

"What if I clould build an instrument that nature plays?" Jewel asked herself. The question led her from the depths of the ocean to the Pleiades constellation, turning scientific data into otherworldly sound.

I caught up with Jewel to talk about art, mythology, motherhood, and the feminine principle.

Her work is on view at the Venice Biennale through November 22nd.

Thank you @jewel for inspiring healing through sincere deep dive creativity 🫶
