Baby Mola Mola checking us out 😏

Mola Molas are the heaviest bony fish of our planet, weighing up to 2.5 tons! That said, their brain weighs only 4-5 GRAMs! 😆 On the opposite spectrum of the manta, they have the lowest brain-body ratio 😅

On Nusa Penida you can actually see both! I recommend avoiding the crowded main dive sites though (Manta Point and Crytal Bay). Instead, go to Toya Pakeh with zero crowds and have an exclusive show like us at 8 meters (if you‘re lucky😁).

When the ocean loves you back 🩵

On our first day diving in Nusa Penida we intentionally wanted to avoid the crowds and the cold currents in Crystal Bay but still try our luck for Mola-Molas in calmer dive sites.

Our hearts were heard loud and clear 💖 Even the local guides were surprised 😄 We saw not one, not two, but ELEVEN Mola-Molas between 8 and 24 meters depth. One of the two during our safety stop was a smaller baby 🤩

Out of this world! 🩵

Dolphins search for food and swim together in social groups called pods in the mornings, like here! They spend the day interacting, playing, and traveling with pod members. In the afternoon they often travel long distances, moving with the tides toward deeper water before heading back near the shore.

Un énorme banc de tarpons débarque !

Je pêchais tranquillement quand un énorme banc de gros tarpons est arrivé juste devant moi… 😳🐟

Ils étaient beaucoup trop gros pour que je tente ma chance, mais heureusement, @simon.underwater était là pour filmer ce moment incroyable
