On est très heureux d’annoncer notre collaboration avec @simondemeuter (1991,Belgique), que nous avons invité à présenter une exposition solo à la galerie en 2027 !

Simon vit et travaille à Paris. Sa peinture se distingue par une simplification des formes et un travail singulier sur la couleur. Nourries de souvenirs d’enfance, de voyages, de rencontres et de références à l’histoire de l’art, ses peintures jouent sur la simplicité des formes et la force des couleurs pour faire émerger des émotions, parfois avec une certaine ambiguïté.
Un premier aperçu de cette collaboration avec quatre peintures issues de sa série Boys Don’t Cry 🤍

We’re very happy to announce our collaboration with Simon Demeuter (b. 1991, Belgium), whom we’ve invited to present a solo exhibition at the gallery in 2027!
Simon lives and works in Paris. His painting practice is characterised by simplified forms and a distinctive approach to colour. Drawing on childhood memories, travels, encounters and references to art history, his paintings play with the simplicity of forms and the power of colour to evoke emotions, sometimes with a certain ambiguity.
A first glimpse of this collaboration with four paintings from his Boys Don’t Cry series. 🤍

| MEET SIMON DEMEUTER |

We are delighted to present the work of @simondemeuter , born in 1991 in Soignies, Belgium, and now living and working in Paris.

In his painting practice, Demeuter explores a bold simplification of form, giving his works a sense of pictorial freshness and immediacy. Colour lies at the heart of his visual language, becoming a tool through which he evokes emotions, sensations, impressions, moods, and physical or mental states.

Drawing from childhood memories, travels, and encounters, the artist creates images that move between inner landscapes and references to Folk Art, the Impressionists, cinema, and music. An everyday object, however ordinary or arbitrary, can become the starting point for an entirely new series.

Through compositions that are endlessly revisited and transformed, Demeuter plays with colour, gesture, scale, and imperfection, seeking to uncover the trace of an emotion in its simplest and most stripped-back form.

Come and discover his work at the opening of ˋcry me a river’ this Thursday, from 6 to 10 pm, at 77 rue Vieille du Temple, 75003 Paris.
