oh it won’t be long….🏕️

through all the complaining, bug bites, and crashouts, i genuinely had one of the best summers of my life so far. the friends i’ve made this summer, the bonds i was able to make with these kids, and all the little side quests & adventures created memories i’ll never forget. Being blessed with working at Camp Wood brought back so many great memories for me, and it shows that there truly is a place where we all Belong🩶

My last and final summer at Camp Wood YMCA. This has been such an experience for the last 3 summers. I had this amazing, crazy, HILARIOUS co-leader named Hannah for summer 2026. She made me realize how much I love camp life all over again. Shoutout to her for helping me figure that part out. Anyways (yea im crying writing this but that’s not the point) time to find another camp to impact and leave an extra laugh for! Like everyone’s FAVORITE line

another summer at my beautiful home-away-from-home! 🌻

so many campers, so many friends, so many memories. I could spend literal hours talking about how much this place means to me, how much it has shaped me, and how full my heart gets watching these kids grow in just the singular week they are here

I can never express in just a couple paragraphs how blessed I am for the life lessons and relationships camp has given me. I love this place so much. until next summer x

Camp Wood '26 🏕

First off I would like to thank @cwymca and every single one of my co workers, who I now consider my family. This summer has been the best summer of my life, I have made so many new friendships and relationships that will last a life time. I'm not sure how its already over, or how I'm supposed to say goodbye. I am extremely lucky to have had the opportunity to work out here this summer and wouldn't change it for the world!

Thank you to each and every person who has been put in my life this summer! I will miss each and every one of you guys! Forever part of my family!❤️

my first time at camp was 15 years ago, I've been going every summer for 10 years and this was my 3rd year on staff. this place has influenced me more than I could ever imagine and I've met my favorite people here, I will always have a special place in my heart for Camp Wood and the prairie.

thank you to all the people I have met here, campers, staff and friends for building this beautiful community of adventure and belonging. I freaking love all of you so much 🫂
