Last week I dropped Yake's Song, Pt. 1 & 2 from my upcoming record, Duality, on Spotify, Apple and Youtube Music - and I appreciate everyone who’s checked them out!

Thanks especially to all the folks who contributed to these tracks and made them so special:

• Chief Production: @musicbycoastal
• Mix: @aarborne
• Master: @jazzcatsstudio
• Violin: @serena.in.the.sun
• Sax: @kryptonite__jerome
• Background Vocals: @hey_dante_hay
• Art Direction: @simonestaff
● Friendship: @jake.doubleyew

Yake’s Song isn’t actually about Jake, it’s about having a crush on @simonestaff about 10 years ago when we lived together in an old house at the edge of Isla Vista. I wanted to capture the different dimensions infatuation can pull us through. From feeling honest and clear and grounded, to floating in the depths of urgency and passion.

Lately the song has felt overwhelmingly about Jake though. I used to play him this song on acoustic guitar when we shared a room with fruit stains all over the carpet. He loved this tune and let everyone know it - I wish I had let him know I was recording it instead of keeping it a secret to surprise him with. He never got to hear this version of the tune and I know it would have made him so happy. I hope some of y’all will give it a spin for him 💓

BAAB AND COURTOIS TOP QUALIFYING IN SAN FRANCISCO 🏆 🇺🇸

American Lindsey Baab/ Fog Racing and defending World Champion Pauline Courtois and her Match in Pink by Normandy Elite Team of France topped the qualifying standings at the 2026 Women’s Match Racing World Championship after an impressive opening round robin on San Francisco Bay.

Baab and Courtois finished tied at the top with outstanding 10–1 records, well clear of the chasing pack. Baab’s only defeat came against Australia’s Juliet Costanzo, while Courtois’ sole loss was to Baab.

Behind the leaders, Dutch skipper Julia Aartsen and San Francisco local Nicole Breault both finished strongly at 7–4, securing third and fourth respectively.

Sweden’s Anna Östling advanced in fifth with a 6–5 score, followed by compatriot Martina Carlsson and New Zealand’s Megan Thomson, both at 5–6. France’s Lucie Gout claimed the final quarter-final position at 4–7, edging out Australia’s Juliet Costanzo.

The top 8 quarter-final line-up is now set with Baab facing Gout, Courtois taking on Thomson, Aartsen meeting Carlsson, and Breault lining up against Östling.

Let the games begin!

Day 1 of brought lighter winds as the ORC fleet set off to the distance race out the Gate. The regatta is off to a great start, we can’t wait to see what’s in store for Day 2.
