Please enjoy this carousel of some of my greatest joy moments.

This is really what a full life looks like to me.

Horses in the rain, barefoot afternoons in gardens, fruit so bright it barely looks real, cobblestone streets in southern Italy that make you forget what day it is, and sunsets with people who actually know you. I used to think a full life meant doing more, checking more boxes and going more places, but I think it is really just about being awake to what is already there.

The research backs this up too. Harvard ran an 85 year study on what makes people genuinely happy and it was not money or status that came out on top. It was the quality of their relationships, full stop. Nature lowers your stress hormones within minutes of being in it. Real whole food is quite literally information your body already knows how to use. Rest is not laziness, it is maintenance, and meaningful work feels completely different when you actually care about what you are building.

But honestly you do not need a study to tell you any of that, because you already know it when you feel it. That particular kind of tired at the end of a day that was actually lived. The way good food with good people tastes different to eating alone. The quiet that settles in when you are somewhere green with nothing urgent pulling at you.

I am grateful for all of it. The big trips and the ordinary Tuesday mornings, the ginger cat who decided my partner’s laptop was his bed, first listing signs, puppy cuddles and bowls of fruit catching the morning sun.

I want to know, what does a full life look like for you? Comment below!

I used to think fat loss meant more cardio, more sweat, and eating less, and even though I was always pushing hard I was finishing workouts exhausted and hungry without seeing the body composition changes I wanted.

Everything shifted when I stopped training just to burn calories and started strength training with progressive overload, using the same exercises but tracking my lifts and aiming to improve each week with one more rep, slightly more weight, and better control.

Within a few weeks my body felt tighter and stronger, my energy improved, my cravings settled, and fat loss finally started moving in the right direction.

Progressively challenging your muscles helps build lean tissue, and lean tissue is metabolically active, which means better fuel use, steadier blood sugar, and more energy burned across the whole day, not just during your workout.

Now I do not train to feel smashed, I train to be stronger than last week, and leaning out has become the side effect of that!

Stay tuned for episode #4 on the poddy! We talk about all of this in detail plus more with fitness guru @simonwilsonfitness
