I’m working on several bedroom designs right now, and I’m continuing to be inspired by mixing patterns. Pattern play can be quiet and serene. It doesn’t always need to be the focal point of the room.

The key to well designed pattern play, is using contrasting elements. A soft floral pattern pairs beautifully with a large geometric, bolder pattern. If you’re using a large pattern, infuse soft elements as the accents.

If you’re inspired by the look but overwhelmed with knowing how to implement it, let’s connect. I’d love to help you!

It’s only Wednesday, but what a week. Monday was a relaxing beach day with family. Tuesday we had a celebration of life for a family member. The rest of the week will be finishing up some large custom orders while also preparing for an install that’s starting next week. This sweet bed with a custom bolster pillow looks so inviting! Wouldn’t it be fun to take a nap here?

Cafe curtains were also made by @s.d_designs .
