Amen🙏🏽 Correction: Cyril wrote to Celestine on the condition that anonymous people had sent the Nestorian sermons to Alexandria and Rome. So it was Not Nestorius himself that sent sermons this was a mistake I made. Nestorius only sent letters after the sermons were sent, essentially the Letters sent by Nestorius became a race to get approval from the rest. The involvement of Rome was entirely a dice roll nobody saw it inherently necessary.

If a church attacks you by saying “you focus too much on doctrine and ignore spirituality” right? Isn’t taking out doctrine from a church in itself a type of doctrine? Are clergy and Sunday school and Bible study teachers who teach only “fun stories” and avoid “complex doctrinal topics” right? The Coptic Church has suffered in the past from generational doctrinal ignorance among the lay people which unfortunately lead to many not fully understanding the basic meaning of being Christian. Pope Shenouda taught repeatedly that teaching doctrine is one of the pillars of the real Christian faith and spent his life teaching it in a simple way that is suitable for all ages and levels of education. Some clergy and servants shy away from it because of their own personal lack of understanding along with lack of desire to learn. But the reality is that if we do not teach our children doctrine, someone else will teach them theirs. Teaching people why we believe what we believe along with a profound spiritual approach is not only possible but is indeed the only successful formula for Christians to be strong in the faith, to understand what God has declared to us in His Word and to live a life worthy of the kingdom.#popeshenouda

Some might consider this harsh but a question does pose itself; what is the definition of a Christian? #popeshenouda #christianfaith

FYI this writing was prepared a little bit ago but I never posted out of charity since the claims of non-canonical holy orders against EO was already addressed by friends of mine. But after some further thought I have decided to post this writing.

Non apostolic Christians ask: why do I have to confess to a “man”? They claim that Priesthood is a manmade tradition to exert power and authority over the believers. This comes from history of corruption in some churches that revolted to the extreme left, abandoning everything, in an effort to “reform”.
They ask: Where is priesthood in the scripture? Even Sola scriptura begs responds clearly to this question and begs the question: how is your church today practicing John 20:20-23.
The response to any problem in the church is not to reject God’s commandment and claim that it is not manmade tradition. The priests are the ones who brought to us “scriptura” and protected the believers from the non-canonical gospels that heretics spread everywhere, because they were handed down the knowledge from Christ himself through apostolic succession and the documenting and exhorting of the true scriptures through their writings. This is how we know that the Bible we have today is the real scripture, through the priesthood. Priesthood is the representation of Christ on earth and rejecting it is rejecting Christ Himself. link to original full length video on youtube https://youtu.be/MgrZ-pNd65U?is=fJ4w8RUw_cJajn71 رابط الفيدو كامل
