My first wedding yall & when I say the #Wilsons set the tone. I am very so honored, to be invited to witness such a beautiful couple get married. Your wedding was absolutely beautiful and breathtaking, every detail was chef’s kiss. From the moment we met, we all just clicked and I am so happy that we did, because I had the privilege to witness this beautiful matrimony. I saw the love from the moment we met and years later, it only became stronger. I just really love that for you two. Let’s just say god knew what he was doing. Again I am so grateful to be included in your celebration, and I wish you both a lifetime of unconditional love, happiness, and bliss together. Thank you for allowing me to share this beautiful occasion with you. #TheWilsons #10/10 @itsmeyday @aplustheceo 💚💚💚

🗣Fed Up, Black & Tired 🖤✊🏽

We wish we had the right words to express how we feel, but we just can’t put into words how we feel. If you had to write a caption for this picture, what would it be?

@simply_kinah 💗💚...we absolutely love this picture and it captured exactly how we’ve been feeling!

𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐝𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐊 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤?

Britain has the second largest policing budget per capita in Europe and has some of the most wide-reaching and intrusive public surveillance measures in the world. This includes a police programme that has spied on more than 1,000 organisations, including black families campaigning against police racism. While the cost of this spying is almost impossible to quantify, the cost of the inquiry into the spying alone is at least £17m.
The answer to police violence is not 'reform'. It's defunding. Here's why..
The government continues to announce higher incarceration and 4 new prisons. The total bill for the UK criminal justice system, comprising policing, law courts and prisons in 2018-19 was £28.8bn – more than we spend on primary education, more than we spend on social care and far more than we spend on social housing or the environment. But it is precisely these areas of public life which hold the solutions to the problems that the police and prison system are failing to improve. #DefundThePoliceUK
does not mean an immediate end to policing, but instead investing in social policies that prevent people from experiencing violence and harm in the first place.

More than 750 youth centres have closed, and over 4,500 youth workers have been laid off in England and Wales. Hundreds of thousands of our most vulnerable young people have been cut off from a vital resource: Interventions should be available to our young people 𝒃𝒆𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆 they encounter the criminal justice system, particularly if at risk of violence, being pressured into criminalised activity, or living in dangerous home environments.

We have the largest prison population in western Europe. Black Britons make up 12% of adult prisoners and more than 20% of children in custody – compared to just 3% of the general population.

#BlackLivesMatter protesters do not demand police defunding because of institutional racism alone: it is a demand that seeks tangible, evidenced and effective improvements in public safety for ALL, beginning with who needs It most.
