Towards the later years of Sano, a group of guys from Europe would come over for MiniMoto every year. Most of them were buddies from France, but a few were from Belgium and other countries.

They would fly into LA at least a week before the event in Vegas (sometimes 2 weeks) and they would build their bikes at our shop in Murrieta and then go riding at the local tracks to get in some practice.

They would also sightsee the SoCal landscape and hit up all the popular moto businesses like Pro Circuit, Chaparral, TLD and all the others and buy tons of moto swag and take it back to Europe.

One year a huge group of guys came and bought a mountain of stuff from us too. We had tons of t-shirts (our shirts were VERY popular) and had lots of stickers too, all sorts of sizes, including some 5 footers that I made for trailers, motorhomes or whatever.

That year they rented two Dodge Rams. To my surprise they used 4 of the huge stickers and plastered the rental trucks that they ended up driving to Vegas. I thought it was the most Sano thing I had ever seen and on Sunday after a weekend of partying and racing, I met them back at the Orleans where I had the boxvan parked, before the drive back to SoCal.

They were parked next to the van and I said I have to get a picture of this. So here we are, probably 17 years later and it’s still one of my favorite pictures.

I miss those dudes.

CRF100F bike build. Had a fun winter project taking a CRF100 that we have put many yard laps on over the years and giving it a proper refresh. BBR swingarm, engine cradle, foot pegs and rear shock. CRF150R forks, Bud racing clamps, RH moto work steering stem, KKE wheels, custom machining for rear hydraulic brake conversion. Still need to lower the front by ~ 2” and may need to look into more motor now that the suspension is setup. @bbrmotorsports @carsonbrown_910
