If you can’t summon the flames directly from hell, store-bought is fine 🕯️🖤

I will forever be in love with all of the Halloween content we have created over the years. I may be a “grown up” but I still love playing dress up. I’m not even sure what Halloween costume this is supposed to be but I know that we had an amazing time that day!

As of now, I have very very little to give you in terms of costumes this Halloween, but let’s see what I might pull together in the next week…

💄 Shout to @marianna_donofrio for the makeup & @rcmmphotography95 for the photography

A KATONAH LEGEND: CELEBRATING THE LIFE & LEGACY OF EDWARD GIOBBI 🎨

For more than 60 years, acclaimed artist Edward Giobbi called Katonah home, becoming one of the community’s most treasured and colorful figures.

A true Renaissance man, Giobbi was not only an internationally celebrated painter whose works are represented in some of the world’s most prestigious museums, but also an accomplished chef, author, gardener, and WWII veteran. Known for his larger-than-life personality, extraordinary creativity, and unmistakable honesty, Ed was a local legend whose passion for art, food, friendship, and family left an unforgettable mark on Katonah.

This Friday and Saturday, October 23–24, a rare opportunity awaits.

The doors of Edward and Elinor Giobbi’s beautiful Katonah home will open to the public for an extraordinary estate art sale featuring more than 500 newly released works from Edward’s remarkable collection, including original paintings, watercolors, pastels, oils, and prints.

This is more than an estate sale. It’s an opportunity to step inside the world of a remarkable artist, celebrate a piece of Katonah’s history, and perhaps take home a piece of his enduring legacy.

📍 153 Croton Lake Road, Katonah, NY

📅 Friday, October 23 & Saturday, October 24

🕙 10 AM – 4 PM both days

Top of the (Cake) Class 🎓🎂 If @theandyortega can teach me to decorate a cake, he can literally teach anyone!

Andy is officially stepping into the teaching role and offering cake decorating classes for groups, but I’ve had him on call for this kind of thing much longer.

He’s previously had to talk me through quite a few challenging crumb coats and bubbly batches of fresh buttercream, but getting the chance to really sit down with his guidance, resources & tools was invaluable.

While I did get super hung up on frosting my cake in the beginning, he was quick to step in and remind me that a few imperfections in that layer are totally OK. We can pipe right over them with a rosette or a few drop lines.

It was also so much fun to get together with the girls and focus on a hands-on activity for a change. I loved seeing how, even with all the same tools and materials, everyone still ended up with such a unique vision for their cake 🍰

If you’re interested in booking a class with this ✨Food Network star✨ you can reach out to him at @theandyortega or andyhortega@gmail.com for pricing & details!

You asked. We listened. And now Rock’n’Rascalz is getting more ways to play!

Our Wednesday morning music class with Miss Liz isn’t going anywhere, but we’ve also heard from families who would love another way to fit Rock’n’Rascalz into their week so we’re testing something new: Rock’n’Rascalz is popping up at the nook on two Saturdays in September!

Starting today, you can book Saturday music class with @rocknrascalz on Saturday, September 19 and Saturday, September 26.

If you’ve ever attended a music class with Rock’n’Rascalz at nest & nook on Wednesday at 11AM you already know how fun and engaging it is, and we’re excited to bring that energy through to the weekend!

What’s even better is after music class at 11 AM, we’re keeping open play available for bookings through 2 PM. It’s a nice little Saturday if you ask us!

Book your spot using the link in our bio or by visiting nestandnookny.com
