What we made for our Garden Market Swap ♥️

For the Garden Market Swap, each of us brought a homemade good to share with each other ♥️

We shared homemade granola, salsa and chips, brownies, incense, cough syrup, crochet tulip bouquets, chia seed pudding, poultry seasoning, diy tasbih kits, trail mix, hibiscus juice, potted herbs, trinket dishes, and eucalyptus bundles ♥️

I need to know…

Is this a thing you’ve done before, or did my friend @fatima.b.ibrahim just invent the cutest girls’ gathering ever? 😂🌿

She transformed her backyard into a Garden Market and thought through EVERYTHING. From the handmade market sign, to the shopping baskets, the labels, the decor… every little detail made it feel like we had stepped into our own little farmer’s market.

When I tell you my jaw dropped when I walked into this… 🤍

The idea was simple:

🌸 Everyone secretly brings one homemade or handmade item. Like something you’d expect to find in a local market. No one knew what anyone else was bringing except our host (so she could work her magic with the setup)
🛍️ Everything gets displayed like a real market.
🧺 You grab a shopping basket and take home one of each item.
🍽️ Then we did what women do best: we sat down, shared a meal, laughed, talked, and enjoyed each other’s company.

I brought mango coconut chia pudding… and somehow left with a basket full of things made with so much love and care. But more than that, I left feeling so grateful to be surrounded by women who are willing to share their gifts so generously.

To our amazing host @fatima.b.ibrahim … thank you for not just having us, but for creating an experience. Your creativity, attention to detail, and heart made this so special.

And to all my ladies who spent time baking, cooking, creating, preserving, and packaging something special for the rest of us, thank you.🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾 Don’t ask me if I shared my goodies with my husband… I’m still deciding. 😂

Now I’m curious… if you came to a Garden Market Swap, what would you bring?

Full baskets. Full hearts. Full bellies.

May we never outgrow gathering around a table. 🌿🤍

Forever grateful for friends who turn “we should do this sometime” into actual plans.

Thank you, @fatima.b.ibrahim , for always bringing your creative ideas to life and for being the most wonderful host. You make every gathering so thoughtful and fun.

And to my sisters - thank you for your wonderful creations! I loved seeing everyone’s creativity shine.

I dusted off my crochet hooks and made a little tulip bouquet with a basket. Swipe to see it in action!

Next assignment: a fitness challenge… because I have absolutely no self-control, and all the granola, trail mix, salsa, and snacks that should last weeks are somehow lasting minutes. 👀😭😂

Think a farmer’s market, but make it handmade🌸❤️

We each made a gift for every person attending, and by the end of the morning, everyone went home with a basket full of thoughtful treasures❤️

Alhamdulillah for a beautiful afternoon with reflections and reminders on the importance of self-care and self-love ♥️

The spiritually uplifting luncheon included moments to connect with old and new friends, moving Quran recitation, a discussion on self-care, Quran trivia games, and lovely spring vibes ♥️

One of the many beauties of being a Muslim is that self care is required. No matter what we’re going through, we have to tend to ourselves and take care of what we have been entrusted with ♥️
