Hi can I have one of those #imdeadcupcakes 💀 thanks. #redvelvetcake is so interesting, originally it started as a mahogany cake that was paired with an #erminefrosting back in the 1800s.
I once managed a production line that distributed baked goods to Trader Joe’s. We made a natural red velvet cupcake and I’ve been craving it lately but had to create my own recipe as I have no memory of the ratios. I ended up with a beet powder, pomegranate reduction red velvet and it was serving more of a terracotta brick red over red red but that will happen with natural colors. Learning ermine frosting has been so fun. Basically you make a roux and then emulsify it with butter. I’ve created a hybrid of my own that won’t harden in the fridge and im on the final draft just waiting for a stabilizer to be delivered, fingers crossed ✨ Baking is a science and such a passionate skill. Short cuts are never your friend in baking. Just like this little red velvet cake you have to have passion for what you do. The white chocolate curls are for texture, I LOVE texture in food. I love a little crunch to the bite 🥰 the skulls are covered in a pomegranate reduced blood inspired syrup thank you @simplysucre for the skulls they were perfect for this project. 💀 these cupcakes are deadly 💀 I only had two 🧁 oh yeah available for order upon request 😂 and the cupcake wrapper is from @pilaspantry #cupcakes #bakeryboy

Ahh I love making white macarons! Featuring @halopantry banana flavored buttercream. I also used @bakell fondant to make stars, edible tinker dusts in neon blue and silver, Krazy Sprinkles mix, @simplysucre silver star confetti, and glued on with @satin.ice edible glue.

Mini 4” Bento Cake 🎂 perfect for on the go celebrations

But do you see the imperfect crack on the cake? 🫣
Whoops! I was on a time crunch and the temperature of my cake (cold) and frosting (room temp) were different, which caused the overnight crack. But it’s ok! Nobody’s perfect. 🫠 It was still very cute and yummy!

4” Mini Bento Cake 🌸 ft. @simplysucre royal icing transfers

Last minute birthday cake surprise! Luckily, my freezer had emergency cake rounds. Yes, I have emergency cake rounds and cookie dough for emergency gifting moments. Because you never know when you need to gift a sweet treat!

This mini 4” single layer vanilla cake round was frosted in vanilla buttercream and decorated using @simplysucre royal icing flowers and @bakell edible tinker dust.

I surprised a dear friend with this mini bento cake when I took her paddleboarding for the very first time. I’m all for making fun memories with people I care about. ☺️
