A different kind of pre-season this year.
After 3 months of rehab and recovering from my meniscus injury, I’m grateful to have made it through camp and to be back doing what I love most. The season awaits, YALLA ITTIHADD 🖤💛🐅

In the spirit of Women Who Make Moves in Sport, I want to highlight how I’ve always been surrounded by powerful women. Let me start with Simone Conley, who is nothing short of brilliant. Simone was a training specialist working closely with me when I was preparing for the 2012 Olympic qualifiers, and she had a unique gift: her gentle approach could make you feel like you hadn’t pushed yourself hard enough, until the next day, when you could barely move. She was proof that aggressive results don’t require an aggressive trainer.

It was through Simone that I met her sister, the tenacious Alyssa Conley, back in 2011 when we were both young athletes training for those same Olympic qualifiers. Alyssa is a powerhouse sprinter whose medal collection speaks to years of excellence and dedication. Over the past 14 years we have gone from young athletes chasing Olympic qualifiers to business partners building something impactful together. Having her as both a collaborator and cherished friend feels like the perfect evolution of our journey, and I am incredibly excited about the transformative work we’re doing and the lives we’ll touch.

Now, let’s take off those suits and get our hands dirty, the summit is over! #SheOwnsHerSuccess

Fighters!!!! The squad…and the shoes 💪🏽😄

First the squad: a “dig deep” day after yesterday’s shake up in the Paarl furnace. Much kinder cooler weather today & really great to ride most of stage 4 alongside @simone_sharpe & @elaineb_mtb_endurance working together to literally conquer mountains ⛰️

As for the shoes 🫠 (the sound track is mostly about the shoes). They fought the good fight!! And even when they thought they might surrender - enter duct tape 🙌🏽 taking us all the way from 16km > 80km!

Today’s bike to life lesson: go get yourself a fighter squad…and some duct tape! 😅

✔️Stage 4 : 80km 1950m🔝

P.S the fighters (shoes) have officially been retired. The other fighters (squad) go again tomorrow 🚴🏾‍♀️
