This is my favorite part of mixing worship…
When you can hear the whole church lifting their voices together and shouting praises to our Lord. For online, that’s the goal every time…to make it feel like you’re not just watching, but actually in the room with the congregation. A big part of that comes down to how you capture the space. Letting the room breathe, bringing in the congregation at the right moments, and not over-isolating everything.
It’s a balance. Too little and it feels disconnected, too much and the mix starts to get muddy. But when it’s right, you don’t just hear it… you feel it.

First time mixing Good (Can’t Be Anything Else) by @codycarnes for our @thriveya_soc young adults group + heavy dynamic EQ shaping on the vocals with the @wavesaudio F6 on the @welcometolawo!

Dynamic Multiband control → cleaner mids → less harshness → smoother vocals → more headroom → better translation.

Absolutely blessed to get to do audio engineering as an act of worship. 🙏🎛️

God is GOOD… and can’t be anything else.
