We are immensely grateful to everyone who contributed at Sapphire Dinner 2023! Since we started last year, we have raised over $2m to support the critically underfunded area of ocean conservation. (less than 2% of all charitable giving in Aus goes to the environmental space, & even less to the oceans)

2023 contributions will go towards supporting @greatbarrierreeffoundation & @syd_marine_science in their restoration, science & education projects at the Great Barrier Reef & right here in our home backyard, Sydney Harbour.

Our appreciation to our sponsors, who cover the event’s costs, ensuring every dollar raised, including ticket sales, directly contributes to impactful ocean conservation.

A special shoutout to our foundation presenting partner @tiffanyandco whose legacy spans over two decades of ocean conservation and more than US$100 million in contributions to conservation worldwide.

Art partner @thevalerietaylorartprize for being part of our World Oceans Day fundraiser in support of Australian Marine Science Society.

Conservation without financial support is simply a conversation. We are done talking. We believe that the circle of empowerment and love formed by all these amazing individuals is made complete because of all the guests who supported! Let us embrace the urgency of the situation and join hands in creating a legacy of compassion, guardianship and transformative impact. Thank you!

@sapphireaustralia Event Video - On UN World Oceans Day, we launched The Sapphire Project - a platform to showcase and support organisations committed to ocean conservation, and connect the Australia philanthropic community to this underfunded area. Less than 2% of Australian philanthropic donations go to environmental causes and even less to our oceans. Join our Sapphire project and we can help create change and make impact. Visit our website www.sapphireproject.com.au for more. This year, we support @lirrf @bluecarbonlab @take3forthesea @citizensgbr @girringunaboriginalcorp and @greatbarrierreeffoundation
And well done @collaboroceans for lighting up @sydneyoperahouse on WOD with the amazing ocean artworks by @timothyjohnston.artist
