What does British Asian representation look like in 2026 (or 2025 last year lmao 😝)? And does it represent us?

Sin Heng Chan joined me growing up British Chinese, where our voices are (and aren’t) in the media, and what representation could look like if we got to define it.

Out now - link in bio 🔗

moments worth capturing ✨

I have always been scared to post my life on this account but I had to make something special for this year. Thank you to everyone who made me smile, laugh and cry in all ways. I have grown so much as a person and if you’re not on here please know that I thank you from the deepest part of my heart 💌
.
It has been a wild ride. No matter what country I was in I always loved the memories I made. From studying in South Korea @snu.official to getting my TEFL qualification in Italy with Trinity College. Every moment was different and I hope that 2026 is even better than the last. Thank you to everyone who supports me either online or in person! It means the world to me that people like you have gotten me through this year 💌 (insta won’t allow me to tag everyone nooooooo)
.
I will never forget this year and I hope that your year was just as wonderful as mine. Here is to another year full of memories, friendships and love!
.
My goal is to not be afraid on 2026 to do everything and anything and I hope I will continue to have your unwavering support 🥹
.
Happy New Year and Thank you 2025 ✨

Post-show blues is real!

It’s been such a privilege devising (Re)Animation as part of SEEDLINGS 🌱 Climate Theatre Festival with this team. One of the most joyful R&D processes ever!

Thank you everyone for your superpowers:

@ailinconant for creating such a wonderful playground and directing with real care and generosity - you’re “gooder” than good enough!

@socialwidya for taking care of our craving for snacks and having our backs (as always)

@zoezimin you helped me through a delightful rediscovery of my confidence in singing acapella

@yanni_ng consistently being ridiculously talented and diligent that I’ll let you get away with teasing me

@sincerely.heng it was lovely to connect and have you with us for the precious times

And this cast I just LOVE 🫶

@vinnalaw queen of all things! Thank you for sharing your singing and body percussion skills. You’re amazing inside and out and I’m so lucky to work with you again - but even luckier to be your friend.

@maryheeyoon my mischievous new friend who brings about as much giddy joy 💓🦶🍃 as smart, dramaturgical insights, as well as pure wisdom and appreciation for our beautiful world.

@nobuo_otsuka (or creamy… 🙈) my fellow Gaulier clown! Ahhhh you are such a charismatic performer and silly clown. I loved watching you play and playing with you!

Whilst this project is finished for now, we can’t separate ourselves from nature and all the geopolitical issues around our climate. The blessing is that I will always be reminded of you lot wonderful people; so let’s keep writing poems for the wind.

Thank you for organising SEEDLINGS @newearththeatre @kalitheatreuk @tara_theatre

What a whirlwind couple of weeks creating theatre inspired by @amitav_ghosh1 ‘s “The Nutmeg’s Curse”for our climate festival with @newearththeatre @kalitheatreuk @tara_theatre. Missing these brilliant wackos so much already.
