Celebrated our anniversary and my birthday, sent my daughter off to college, produced a movie, filmed a documentary, and spent time with some pretty dope people.

A month full of big moments, new beginnings, and memories I’ll always hold close. August owes me some rest though 😂

We made 12 years as an organization 🙌🏾

This past weekend, we celebrated 12 years of @lovebeyondwalls. We were grateful we were able to gather with volunteers, supporters, partners, and community members to reflect on the work we’ve done together over the years.

What began as a small act of obedience has grown into a movement rooted in dignity and compassion.

As we head into the new year, we’re excited about what’s ahead and can’t wait to share some big news.

It’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years since I walked across that stage! Visiting my alma mater this year brought back so many great memories and reminded me how proud I am to be part of the HBCU family. Forever grateful for the experience, the education, and the lifelong connections.

Eleven years ago, I started @lovebeyondwalls on a cellphone, and this weekend, we celebrated our 11th anniversary as an organization at @cocacola. During the event, we shared stories of transformation, struggle, and hope!

I am grateful for every speaker, sponsor, friend, supporter, and everyone who showed up to hear our story and our vision for the future.

I am deeply grateful to our friends at Coke for helping to make this possible. I still can't believe how far we have come.

This has been the most challenging and rewarding work of my life. Thank you to @cecilialester, TJ, and @zionjoylester for believing in me and supporting me in leading this important work!
