Soul of the Southside year 5 and they got me back on stage! I can’t tell you how proud I am of my FamiLLy @illism for putting on and showing up every year for the last half decade! Showing what it takes to create something and have it grow year after year! FOR US BY US✊🏾! I went from opening the very first SOTS, to hosting the second, doing photography for the 3rd, and being a full hands on member at the 4th. NOW WE BACK! In the wise words of my sister… SEE YOU SOON!

I call this next chapter ‘Ending Cycles’. My Auntie always said “the best way to start your day is with a matching pair of socks” It was my 24th birthday on May 24th, so she got me 24 pairs of matching socks

A week ago my Grandfather passed & last night we celebrated his legacy.

My dear friend @michelledens ended my night with the most beautiful prayer asking for help so that I might feel less stress, thank you. I was able to share with my community why I do what I do and then @sweetmteamn let me sob in her arms like a baby, thank you! sashabangzz & @simaek_ created the soundtrack to an oh so perfect party, thank you. @smallhours_mpls thank you for helping me host such a lovely evening with my community, I can’t wait too see what else we do. Lemony Blueberry cake was created by @mariejuliana my Gemini twinski I’m so glad everyone go to enjoy your magic, thank you. @s.a.t.h.e.n.a.g & @alexpgross for having the eyes that you do! I love the way you see the world! I could thank an infinite amount of people but I’ll just slide in your DMs 💛

Someone asked me if I had any intentions going into the year, this is my golden year and the year of the horse my Chinese zodiac, I told her that it’s my intention to be more understanding & to not set expectations on to other people. Possession is a crazy thing & communication brings clarity.

Thank you all that came and showed love, thank you all that sent Birthday wishes, phone calls FaceTimes text messages! The love is abundant and felt! I am truly so blessed. I am I am I am. Same time next year??? 😝😝😝

Happy Women’s Day! The only theme of this post is women. Women who I love. & Women who are talented. Women I see and smile. Women who teach me, who learn from me. Women who water me. Women who encourage me. Women who SHOW me I can do anything! One instagram post cannot contain all the women I love so dearly ! There are too many emotions and not enough words. I’m so greatful for my community and the people who choose to be apart of my existence here on earth!
