@kitak @sing_anitra & @theoriginal.darrin you all showed up and did the thing at the @gospelindustrycoalition @thestellars Week Night of Worship with class and excellence. But what gets me is that I only imagined what you would sound like in my head because you all have never worked together because the blend, the alignment with vowel placement, color, vibrato and more was IMPECCABLE‼️ And to the Clark brothers - @bassland82 & @clarkdrumz THANK YOU for being there each and every time I call. You two have been consistent over the years and Thursday night would NOT have been possible without the two of you. PLUS my brother @marquezcassidy stepped in at the last minute and held everything down on the Hammond organ and drove to Charlotte and back home (over 3 hours) on the same day…I’m super appreciative‼️ WHAT a unit…..skilled, anointed and cloaked in humility‼️

Charlotte, NC, here we come‼️ 🚙🎶 We’re on the road for Stellar Awards Week, and I couldn’t ask for better traveling companions than two absolutely phenomenal musicians—and even better people—my SAI sister #6, @sing_anitra , and my Phi Mu Alpha fraternity brother from Pi Eta Chapter, @theoriginal.darrin !

Both proud graduates of Morgan State University, Anitra and Darrin are exceptional, versatile artists who can move effortlessly through classical, gospel, jazz, popular music, and beyond. They are truly two of the DMV’s most professional and gifted vocalists I’ve had the privilege of working with over the years.

But beyond the music, these two are literally family to me. The fellowship, the stories, the jokes, and the way we stay laughing nonstop is so refreshing! 😂 There’s nothing like traveling with people you love, trust, respect, and genuinely enjoy being around.

Just a few more hours until we arrive in Charlotte, get settled, and prepare for tomorrow evening’s LIVE television taping of the Gospel Industry Coalition’s Night of Worship during Stellar Awards Week‼️

Great music. Great people. Great memories already being made. Charlotte, we’re on the way! 🙌🏾🎶🔥

Some nights just feel right.

Appreciate @DamienSneed for the call and the continued trust. Always grateful to share the stage with @AveryWilson, @OniMarsalis, and @keyonharrold. Thanks to the @ApolloTheater for having us out in the Hamptons.

Back to work. 🎸

🎬 It all came together at The Den.

This week we’re spotlighting @sing_anitra beautiful rendition of Feel Like Making Love (@thedangelo) —from laying the vocals in the studio to capturing the official music video, all under one roof.

Shout out to Chris (@88pianodavis) for production and engineering, and to everyone who helped bring this vision to life. Hit play and enjoy. 🎶
