I am so excited to talk about my collaboration as a Voice Assistant to Caroline Murrah! I am honored to assist Caroline’s voice teaching business and studio as she helps mentor, guide, and coach me in her teaching styles and techniques.

Caroline Murrah is a professional actress and voice coach based in New York City, who specializes in working with children and teens. Three months after graduation from Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music, she was cast in the Broadway National Tour of Fun Home. On the road, she became interested in voice disorders and the impact of vocal stress on singers in such a demanding industry. Upon returning to NYC, she developed a voice studio and began the journey toward becoming a speech-language pathologist. In addition to her studies at Emerson College, she is also completing research on the relationship between self-agency and voice production with Dr. Miriam van Mersbergen in the Voice, Emotion, and Cognition Lab at the University of Memphis. Certifications obtained include Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT LOUD) and Buteyko Breathing Level 1. Caroline is a member of The Voice Foundation, Actors Equity Association, and NSSLHA SIG 03 - Voice and Upper Airway Disorders.

“Working with Samantha has been one of my best experiences. She's not only your teacher but a friend. When I started vocal lessons my voice was breathy, and I didn't know how to control it. Samantha helped me tremendously, and anyone would be lucky enough to work with her!”
