“Previously, Part 1 of … Destiny of Desire!” 😂
2 months that felt like 6, but in a good way. We really got to bond and spend a lot of time together. Even on our days off, we were always texting each other, “what are you doing?“ we had such a great time at @denvercenter the audiences were fantastic every single night, and it was great to see their reactions to this very funny, hilarious, melodramatic show. Believe me when I tell you that we also did have a hard time keeping it together at times on stage!! The phrase from our fabulous Director. @marcela__lorca “Lock in!” Was always on our minds when we would go astray 🐈‍⬛ , lol I think we did pretty good! 😂 We only broke on stage I think…. twice….🙊🙉🙈 and it was as a company so it was even more hilarious!! It’s hard not to have fun when it is so wonderfully written by. @karenzdc It is hard to keep a straight face in most scenes; Laughter is joy, and joy is medicine; ❤️‍🩹 something we need right now, we need to be able to laugh and have fun and escape for a few hours. I believe we gave that to our audiences. This is only part 1 for us! Which is so incredibly exciting and wonderful that we get to do it again, we get to continue to explore these characters that we have created in this wonderful play. Most importantly, we get to see each other again and build on the friendships that we’ve created. Thank you to everyone at the DCPA, this could not have been possible without our entire crew. They are the real stars of this show. Everyone from costumes, wigs, backstage crew, front of house, production team, stage management, sound, every single department, this show would not have been possible without the endless hours of love and work it took to put it up. We really had such a great time. It is such a beautiful city from the downtown area, to Boulder, red rocks, the beautiful hiking trails, restaurants, we did it all in very little time outside of rehearsals and shows. Next up the city of Angels! @ctgla We will see you very soon. #destinyofdesire #hispanicheritagemonth #telenovela #denvercolorado #theatre

It’s hard to accept we’re heading into closing weekend. I’m not ready to say goodbye to Denver, definitely not ready to put this show down for a month, and absolutely not ready for the separation from this incredible group of people. Monday is going to suck.

The most perfect day!
Hiking through Hessie Trail and then The Jungle concert at Red Rocks! The nature, the Aspen, 🌲 🥾 ☀️ ⛰️ the fresh mountain air was everything I needed. This part of this contract of #destinyofdesire in Denver has been incredible, it is so so so beautiful over here, the mountains, the city itself, has truly taken my breath away. I wanted to go hiking from the moment I arrived. There was no way I was going to let myself come to Denver, Colorado, and not have hiked at least one trail. I really wish there was more time to explore and hike some more but time… is a thief.

Finishing the day off at Red Ricks was magical. It is so amazing to be surrounded by such beauty, the rock formations are so incredible, and the amphitheater and the sound quality coming from the amphitheater was absolutely amazing. The show was incredible and the company was even better. What a wonderful final week to wrap up this part of destiny of desire before we head to LA at the Mark Taper in November. Feeling very blessed and happy.

After 6 weeks of rehearsals, previews, laughter, and plenty of telenovela drama… we officially OPEN TONIGHT! 🎭

This cast has been an absolute blast to work with and our incredible creative team has made every day full of laughter and joy. 👉 @aldomax @marcela__lorca @worldwidewilliam @dwlapuma

And to our brilliant playwright, @karenzdc — I don’t think you’ll ever know how much it means to me, and so many others, to have such wonderful material that celebrates and honors Latino culture. 🇲🇽❤️

I’m a blessed man. Grateful for this cast, this story, and this moment.

So proud to be a part of this show!🥹
