I had the honor of joining my @ravensbourneuk family back in London as we officially launched our 360 campaign with @nikelondon and @jumpman23 for the Future Forward Festival during Black History Month! As someone who is deeply invested in storytelling, I was so grateful to display the art of spoken word to capture the power of two countries coming together to uplift our stories through basketball culture and its generational impact between London and Chicago. I performed this piece live at the festival, and this was my ending, ā€œThough we are countries apart, we are cultures collided. Together, we share the same game, but different storiesā€”whatā€™s yours? It was truly an honor to see our 360 campaign come to life featuring @nikelondon and @jumpman23ā€™s Future Forward Festival and facilitated through our partnership with @mbk_alliance, @obamafoundation, and @ravensbourneuk! Our designs featuring our logo #SameGameDifferentStory, typography, and storytelling were highlighted all throughout the Future Forward Festival including the player jerseys, t-shirts, court design, visual design, and community activations! I had the amazing opportunity to give the spoken word performance of a piece I wrote for our campaign that was featured in our promo video, ultimately bringing together our stories that have pushed culture through basketball. This festival was showcased during Londonā€™s Black History Month making the impact of our work that much greater in its efforts to unite and celebrate our communities! From the beginning of this journey, we started as countries apart, and weā€™ve grown together as cultures collided. Words cannot describe this life-changing experience!
