I’ve been going through the last of some of the bottles I have that are irreplaceable. I’ve been sharing them with friends and enjoying these spirits to the last drop. The gin maker at Sipsong had made this cherry vanilla a few years ago. I love that she harnessed the flavors in such a balanced way. To honor her creativity and enjoy the full experience I made an extra dry martini with a cherry. It was a delicious way to say farewell. #ginyayeveryday #gin #cheers #cocktail #sipsiphooray

This is a very real and very scary situation for many distillery owners. At the end of this year, we are at serious risk of losing the ability to ship our spirits directly to you unless we speak up. 🥃 Direct shipping allows independent distilleries like ours to sell directly to customers instead of going through distributors and retailers. Losing that option would have a real impact on craft distilleries, their owners, employees, families, and customers across California. Here’s what you can do: Contact your local distillery and ask how you can support the effort. Contact your state representatives and tell them you support direct-to-consumer shipping for California craft distilleries. You can find your representatives by searching “Find Your California Representative.” And please share this post. Small businesses can’t outspend big-money lobbying, but together, we can make some noise.

Our second gathering at Hidden Villa, and our first open-to-the-public dinner, felt like a beautiful celebration of summer and community. The evening began beneath the olive grove, where guests gathered in the shade with passed bites including masa sopes topped with Brooks Nursery avocado-pistachio “adventure guacamole” alongside Sipsong cocktails and Gros Ventre wines. From there, host Jason McKenney led a tour of Hidden Villa, sharing how the nonprofit educational farm, tucked into the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains, continues to adapt and steward this land in an increasingly hot Los Altos climate. As everyone settled in under the trees, Chef Greg Kuzia-Carmel and his team, joining us for a third collaboration! Him and his team prepared a menu inspired by the season and the surrounding landscape. Stone fruit, fig leaf oil, tri-tip, and even geraniums from Chef Greg’s own garden found their way onto the table. It was a special moment too with fans of the NBA streaming the game as the Knicks won- they knew they’d always remember where they were when it happened. As the sun dipped low and golden light spilled across the farm, guests dined beside the stone fruit trees, celebrating birthdays, anniversaries and connecting with one another even after dessert. Thank you to everyone who joined us for such a special evening at Hidden Villa. We’re already looking forward to the next one. photos by @agardenofsorts_ The Trust for Hidden Villa | @hiddenvilla Hidden Villa, Los Altos Hills, CA host farmers Jason McKenney & Lanette Anderson @hiddenvilla_csa Hidden Villa, Los Altos Hills, CA guest chef Greg Kuzia-Carmel | @campermp Camper, Menlo Park, CA guest winemakers Chris & Sarah Pittenger | @grosventrewines Gros Ventre Cellars, Sonoma, CA guest distillery Tara Jasper | @sipsongspirits Sipsong Spirits, Windsor, CA additional collaborators Chino Valley Ranchers, Colton, CA Brokaw Nursery, Ventura, CA Blue House Farm, San Gregorio, CA Flannery Beef, Santa Maria, CA

Black Mountain Ranch • Point Reyes Station, CA • June 10, 2026 Week two of tour brought us back to Black Mountain Ranch, where host rancher Marcel Houtzager’s thoughtful stewardship has helped shape a vibrant community of growers, makers, and caretakers. At the table, flowers grown on the ranch livened the tabletop, alongside guest chef Seth Stowaway’s meal— carefully crafted with ingredients sourced from nearby farms. The cowboy hats were aplenty, and so was the laughter. We’re so grateful to return to the rhythm of being on tour, meeting new faces and reconnecting with familiar ones at every stop along the way. photos by @agardenofsorts_ host rancher Marcel Houtzager | @blackmountain_ranch Black Mountain Ranch, Point Reyes Station, CA guest chef Seth Stowaway | @ositosf_  The Same Sun, San Francisco, CA Lore | @followthelore | San Francisco, CA Chicken Fried Palace | @chickenfriedpalace  San Francisco, CA guest winemakers Chris & Sarah Pittenger | @grosventrewines Gros Ventre Cellars, Sonoma, CA guest distillery Tara Jasper | @sipsongspirits Sipsong Spirits, Windsor, CA guest florist Jessica Orlowski | @blackmountain_ranch Black Mountain Ranch, Point Reyes Station, CA additional collaborators Bellwether Farms, Petaluma, CA Riverdog Farm, Guinda, CA K&J Orchards, Winters, CA Kashiwase Farms, Cressey, California Triple Delight, Fresno, CA Alexandre Family Farm, Crescent City, CA

It snowed today which sounds normal until I tell you that it’s May and an hour prior I was in a tank top working in my backyard. The cold shift got me thinking about warm places and Curacao came to mind. When I was there, I picked up a bottle of gin at the duty free. It’s dry and I usually mix it with some tamarind liquor I bought at the Blue Curacao distillery. Today, I wanted something warming. I made one of my favorites; the bijou with two cherries and a spritz of some absinthe a friend sent me.

Day 6 - #ginadaymay - Shelfie Three shelves. Countless botanicals. One obsession 🍸♥️ From bold juniper hits to citrus twists and floral notes, this little corner is basically my happy place. Every bottle has a story… and yes, I’ve clearly tasted them all (strictly for research, obviously 😏 and some are empty!! 🤭). Can you guess what festive cocktail I made on Halloween per recommendation of my favorite gin maker? I had to use cherries as the garnish to add a bit of gore. This Corpse Reviver tastes especially delicious knowing that there is a limited amount of Indira left to make them with. #gin #cocktail #cheers #ginyayeveryday #drinkgin #cocktailmaker #mixologist #halloweenvibes

@indulgesonoma might be the best new “foodie festival” in Sonoma County. Yup, I said it. I recently went solo for the first time to an event like this and ngl - I was a little nervous 😬 BUT, it was so nice having quality conversations with owners, teams and other guests 1:1. It definitely was a good push outside my comfort zone! I was so impressed with the venue, food and beverage vendors at @indulgesonoma 🍷 I honestly didn’t really know what to expect but I immediately texted my friends and husband after that we need to go next year. A great DJ, sunny day in the 70s and flowing delicious food & drinks = perfect day ☀️ Some of my favorite businesses I discovered to share with you! 🍷🍹Vendors - @bricoleurvineyards based in Windsor for their rose - @mccartercellars for their incredible story & Pinot - @sipsongspirits for their gin & another incredible story - @glasstats for their innovative way to mark your drink & Marin girlies 💃🏼 🍔 Vendors - @goldfinch.sebastopol for fried focaccia bites 😍 - @birdandthebottle for their duck & bao sandwich - @goodnightshealdsburg insanely delicious burgers - @pointreyescheese for allll the cheeses, including their new ‘fennel blue cheese’ 🧀 - @pascaline.fine.catering for their shrimp skewers I’m working on my Sonoma County Maps next so I can share with you all of these places + more in an easy way! Thank you for having me @indulgesonoma 😘 ✨Follow ‘#thespoonlist’ for my bites, recs & inspo #thespoonlist #spoonlistsf #sonoma #sonomacounty
