“I See The Demon” (2026) has the feel of a classic episode of “Black Mirror”, with an extra helping of horror by way of “The Invitation” (2015) with a visit from some of the creatures of the “Silent Hill” universe.

Without giving away any of the twists, it is more sci-fi in nature than initially meets the eye. Thought the narrative begins to buckle under its own weight as the plot unfolds, particularly with an unnecessary coda at the end, the emotional beats are powerful and kept me engrossed in the story. It’s a really effective and topical exploration of agency in an ever evolving world of technology.

@lexzolli and @davemartinez__ are the MVPs, giving particularly emotional performances as Lucy and Billy. One scene involving Lucy’s betrayal by certain men in her life left me shocked and livid. I wish the plot had leaned even further into the justified rage women like Lucy would rightly feel under such circumstances.

@iseethedemonfilm is an impressive, if imperfect feature debut from @sir_lees He finds the sweet spot between science-fiction, technology, and horror and I’ll be excited to see what he does next.

“I See The Demon” is available On Demand starting today.

I See The Demon - out now to rent or buy on VOD! I haven’t done a lot of other genres outside of comedy, so I figured I’d mash it all into one movie. It’s a sci-fi/horror/psychological thriller. And you might even cry a little. Amazing cast and amazing crew. I love making indie films! @lexzolli @remallory @noahkershisnik @davemartinez__ @archiecrisanto @macsteelefoster @sir_lees @iseethedemonfilm

"The Conduit" channels grief through retro tech and the supernatural, where emotion becomes currency in Conor Soucy’s haunting vision of a world that sells what should never be sold.

"I See the Demon" blurs the line between perception and reality, pulling viewers into Jacob Johnson’s haunting debut where trust—and truth—slowly unravel.

"I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead" turns grief and aging into haunting beauty, as Alex Chew crafts horror with heart—and women who refuse to fade quietly.

"Guardian Asshole" turns faith on its head as the Neese Twins blend spiritual sci-fi, dark comedy, and Southern grit into a wild tale of redemption between an angel and a demon.

"All Us Animals" dives into 1950s repression and female autonomy through noir drama, as David Hartstone turns personal fear into haunting, emotionally charged storytelling.

"The Other Girl" turns the anxiety of auditioning into slow-burning horror, as Madeleine Coghlan transforms personal struggle into darkly funny, emotionally raw storytelling.

"Slow" traps its audience in a waking nightmare, as Rebecca Berrih fuses horror, sci-fi, and emotion into a haunting study of time, tension, and control.

"Vowels" turns personal struggle into horror, as Rafael De Leon Jr. transforms his experience with a speech impediment into an intimate, unnerving story of persistence and fear.

"The Vanity" is a sci-fi horror short by Megan Rosati that examines the emotional cost of social media through intimate, genre-driven storytelling.

"Drifters" is Adrian Bobb’s sci-fi romance short that blends emotional ambition with cutting-edge virtual production to tell a visually immersive story of love, loss, and new beginnings.
