❓ How did @playhercollective come to be?

First and foremost, our concept of an all women DJ collective was born from an atmosphere where the number of women DJs in the market did not traditionally align with the number of opportunities and available feature spots. This type of collective is intended to help bring BALANCE into the industry, not competition. It helps to provide more play opportunities, a faster career trajectory, boost confidence, and sometimes provide a safer space for women to artistically express themselves while growing as a DJ.

Initially, @4agirlglobal launched and curated @amagirlcollective followed by @sirensoundscollective and for over a year, desired launching an open format DJ collective.

This summer @4agirlglobal hosted 2 open format parties.
🎥 Featured in this vid is @djdowntownlia setting the decks on fire!🔥🔥🔥

The DJ collectives are now managed by @skyyberent making it a perfect time to make the dream come true….

The @playhercollective is officially launching on Sunday, 9/27 with an All-Star lineup:

❤️ @_djkhaleesi @jayathepriestess My SiStar💫 You are officially traveling further away from Atlanta and closer to your new home in Thailand!! 🙌🏾🎉🚗✈️🌎🛬

Even though I know will visit, I’m completely in my feels about our friendship!😭 (I’ve tried to post this and add more pictures 3 times, but the tears start rolling and I put the phone away😂)

As I was fresh out of a divorce and finding my way back to my musical and dancing self, you were literally one of my 1st friends in the Atlanta House music scene. We quickly discovered how similar our journeys were as women, creatives, mothers of young children, and personas that embraced being quirky and weird, and all of the good things.

Over the last 15+ years, I’m so happy to say we’ve kept our bond and it’s only grown stronger as sister-friends. Through divorces and Tambor and House music and dancing and children and now our journeys as DJs, this friendship is one that I hold near and dear to my heart.

Wishing you the best of everything in this new chapter!❤️

“You’ve got a friend in me” 🥹

A TIME WAS HAD !

MY FIRST #HouseinthePark and it was nothing short of an amazing weekend.. although i was a rotisserie chicken by the end of the day lol🤣 it was well worth it.

The honorable mentions earned it!

I fell in love with house music all over again! This trip changed me in so many ways!

Next year...👀 watch out !

A special shoutout to @dj_skyywalker for having me at “First Thursdays Launch Edition Artist Mixer” here in Atlanta. This was an amazing networking event where we all connected genuinely!
