Highstone is a beloved vinyl-only DJ based in Ithaca. Since 1998 he’s been specializing in intricate long-blends of club techno, trance, and acid classics. His calculated stage presence and precise style is developed from countless hours practicing each blend. Don’t be fooled if he makes it look easy. Highstone operates the desks like fine instruments, creating a live set in its own right. We promise, it’s far from just pressing play.

Most DJs have long-since switched over to the convenience and power of digital mixing, trading heavy record crates and decks for USB sticks and solid-state electronics allowing for incredible new possibilities with what can be done with musical performance.

As an intentional artistic choice, Highstone has chosen to continue exploring a classic tactile experience of vinyl-on-turntable format, creating a limited creative space to be explored more thoroughly and intently.

The constraints of only using vinyl requires a more intimate familiarity with each song, allowing for longer blended mixes (creating new sonic experiences from songs that might be familiar), often resulting in a more curated and intentional journey.

Highstone will close out the night for Forest City Soundsystem following the @nodjsallowed showcase with @yourgraceadrianna_acidwhore303 @knightsynth
And @thesunshinegroup. At the one and only @treehouseithaca! Friday April 3. The show starts at 8pm sharp so don't be late! Thank you for supporting us.

NYC born, Guatemalan-American, Acid Whore 303 (@yourgraceadrianna_acidwhore303 )delivers high voltage acid techno that is raw, and built for the underground. Formerly performing as Your Grace Adrianna Natalie, she channels a lifelong devotion to sound into a darker, more provocative form. Trained in clarinet, bells, choir, and vocal performance from a young age, she began shaping sound through field recordings before diving into Ableton Live production in 2012.

Over time, her studio evolved into a hardware heavy playground centered around acid machines, where driving basslines, haunting melodies, and raw energy collide. Today, Acid Whore 303 performs live and improvisational sets, building evolving rituals from sequencers, drum machines, and synths. Playful, provocative, and deeply personal, the name Acid Whore 303 represents liberation through sound, fearless authenticity, and total surrender to the acid line. For her, acid is not a gimmick. It is a language, a frequency, and a declaration of freedom.

Adrianna makes her return to Ithaca with a debut for @forestcitysoundsystem at @treehouseithaca this Friday 4/3 alongside @djhighstone , @knightsynth and @thesunshinegroup for an epic night of live hardware techno excellence and deep vinyl selections. Come through with your curiosity and openess for this deep sonic exploration you can only find at Treehouse.

Did I get ur attention? 😈
Dirty Disco incoming 🖤🪩🖤
Join us Saturday @treehouseithaca 🌳
@proper_philth & I host this the 3rd Saturday of each month!

🪩With DJ Evermix back from spinning all night beach parties in Mozambique and the goddess U-Lock coming from Buffalo to bless the dancefloor...I have the feeling this will be pretty special & help us all release in sweat ❤️🪩❤️

🪩 @u_lockdj has been a student of dance music for years through attending many local functions, often pegged “the last one standing” after dancing for hours upon hours. Soon enough, in 2017, with the help of local DJ friends, she was able to occasionally hop behind the decks to get an initial feel for the craft. Today, U-Lock has honed a bit of a sound, selecting a variety of deep and high energy house, techno, disco, electro, UKG, indie/dance punk and beyond.

$15 // 9pm on // arrive after midnight = $5 off at the door ✨
