i saw some people doing @literaryphdelights’s lovely check-in tag so here’s my version of it (although i doubt anyone who’s been here for any length of time won’t be surprised by a single book mentioned haha)

special mention for the final slide which is a 1970 copy of east of eden that my brilliant dorothea gave me for my birthday :’’’) i’ll forever weep over it in the best way

the lovely @thegreenlibrary_oslo started this campaign in support of doctors without borders in palestine. until the start of november, they will donate $10 for every post using the above hashtag (and make sure to tag them too!)

on the first slide are some books by palestinian authors that i was profoundly moved by, as well as some on my tbr. on the second slide are two books on the topic of palestine, although they aren’t by palestinian writers

🌞 sun (a book you never stop talking about): my brilliant friend by elena ferrante — much to the chagrin of everyone who follows me i’m sure haha

🌙 moon (a book you’re emotionally attached to): juno loves legs by karl geary — it was the perfect time, perfect place, perfect book situation that only comes around once in a blue moon

#whatsinmybag book girl edition🪴

The bag carries my survival kit, but the only thing here missing are my spectacles, telescope lens kit and new books because what is a wandering bibliophile without proof of her own chaos?

September for me is a season of productivity and a sly trickster of transitions—summer slinks away, autumn sidles in, and my TBR threatens mutiny. My book of the month is Khalil Gibran’s Prophet and his selected works, and a Didion that that quietly dismantles my sanity in parallel.
I have so many new books arriving and desperately wanted to add in here, but they’re soo special, I would make a new post instead.

I’m also shamelessly granting the universe permission to wreck my mind before December, for great upheavals are best reserved for the fall. Consider this my invitation to the grandest transition of all: a season where books weigh more than reason.🍂

Tender Philosophia is finally OUT IN THE WORLD!! And today we are feeling so emotional. We have been working towards this for literal years, and now our baby is out. The baby that is sealing our friendship forever, haha!

Thank you so much to all of you who have been supporting us. Our editors, our ARC team, our guardian angels, our blurb writer & pull quote reviewer, and our cover illustrator…thank you from the bottom of our burgundy hearts. We could not have done this without you, and your beautiful comments and messages have made the journey so magical.

Ahhh… now we are just feeling overwhelmed, so we will sit down and smile for a minute. And maybe cry a little.

But the work doesn’t end here. We will be marketing the book and continue to host our book club, and there may even be some exciting secrets already brewing, hehe. This has been an amazing journey so far, and we never want to say goodbye to this community we have found. So thank you for being here.
