for colored girls who have considered suicide when the rainbow is enuf- by Ntozake Shange 🌈🎭

This beautiful choreopoem allowed me to dance, sing and act all in one performance! I am so grateful to have studied and explored the work that Ntozake Shange left behind! This production holds space in my heart as my journey as an artist continues! Along with being able to perform with these beautiful women in the cast, I had the opportunity to challenge myself by taking on the role of choreographer for this production! Thank you to Ms. Danielle and the rest of the production team for trusting me with this role. Thank you for giving me another opportunity to grow!
Thank you to my dance teacher @iroc_diva for preparing me for the auditions!!🙏🏾

My niece Gia wanted to report live from dance rehearsal yesterday to let you all know she loves Aretha Franklin and also how excited she is for our upcoming production. She already understands the freedom of expression through music and dance and how much joy it can bring you. So join us for Ntozake Shange’s choreopoem For Colored Girls Who Considered Suicide When the Rainbow was Enuf. The link for tickets are below:

Stick fly 🏡

Directing on Hamilton Stage has been a dream of mine for 6 years. Last month that dream came true. I jumped back into Director mode. Directing the cast of Stick Fly has been one of my greatest joys.

Thank you to everyone who came and supported the work the cast and crew executed so well. Thank you to @unioncountynj & @cityofplainfieldnj for sponsoring this play.

Stay tuned for our next show ‘For Colored Girls’ coming this May. Grateful for my team as we have received an overwhelming positive response for the show.

On Sunday March 1st, I was able to bear witness to an amazing production. The matinee performance of “Stickfly”. A play showcasing a black family and all the parallels of reunion, dysfunction, and truth. I was honored because it was an excellent way to bring in Women’s History Month! A special shout out to all the beautiful women apart of the production!

Danielle Wyatt laid the blueprint for how to put on an outstanding showcase. Her cast and crew blended the story telling so well I had to capture it as I was watching in real time! Her right hand, my brother Rayman Wyatt Jr. was there to command stage lighting and audio to bring the audience an immersive experience.

A special shoutout to the Montclair State Alumni in their leading roles; Dale Genesis, and Jocelyn Creekmur

Danielle Tucker Productions produced nothing short of amazing and will be debuting “For Colored Girls” next…

I love the family that @thewyattfam_ has created.

As a college student, I miss out on so much, but spending intentional time helps me realize that I haven't missed a thing!
