I first read The Alchemist in my mid twenties, and was immediately drawn in by Paulo's casual use of language that almost hides how carefully chosen each word, every bit of syntax, even how the punctuation in hindsight is crafted to tell a story you cannot walk away from. The Alchemist is not a long read, yet by the time you reach its conclusion, you will have traveled far and wide... I invite you to come, to put down your phones, pick up a book, and explore

Just another minute,
is all we need...
One more moment to rest,
to recover, to restore, to prepare
Please, just another minute,
to keep the music alive ✨️ 🎶

Started my day with the short by Nathaniel Hawthorne, "The Minister's Black Veil"... My back porch, and yard is just perfect for a good read 📚

Today I was feeling rather esoteric...
so I dug deep and came up with Philip Glass' "Einstein on the Beach"

Well… this wasn’t on my 2026 bingo card.

An atheist enthusiastically sharing a nun’s message.

But when someone chooses compassion over condemnation, I’m all in.

This is what allyship looks like. Not just in June. Every single day.

Because LGBTQ+ people are still being bullied, attacked, discriminated against, and in many places simply existing can still be dangerous.

So yes, I’ll happily amplify a nun who reminds people that love should always be louder than hate.

Funny how that’s the most Christian thing I’ve heard all week. 🏳️‍🌈

Digging deep into the collection and pulling out some Traffic to set the mood for dinner. My wife is cooking stuffed peppers, I'm making garlic bread. Meanwhile Steve Windwood's inimitable voice, and the band's musicianship make for a spectacular start to our musical evening !!!

REMEMBER ...
Regardless of how you may feel about war, the sacrifice made by those soldiers makes it possible for you to hold those opinions and voice them.
