Some girls don’t leave school.
They are pushed out.

By poverty.
By pressure.
By systems that decide their future too early.

Ebere Marythelma Onwe, ISA Fellow 2024/2025 from Nigeria, is working to change that.

Through Sister’s Ally Foundation, she supports girls with education, mentorship, and empowerment, helping them stay in school and believe in a future beyond limitation.

Since 2020, her foundation has supported over 50 girls.

Because when a girl stays in school, everything can change.

Today, I had the privilege of joining a digital security training organized by (@spaces4change) Spaces for Change, and one of the most impactful sessions was on Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TF-GBV) — a rising form of violence targeting women and girls in online spaces.

From cyberstalking to non-consensual image sharing…
From online harassment to digital surveillance…
TF-GBV is real, harmful, and deeply connected to the inequalities women face every day.

As we observe the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, it is important to remember that violence isn’t only physical. It also happens behind screens, through devices, and across digital platforms.

At (@sisters_ally)Sisters Ally Foundation we stand with every girl and woman whose voice, safety, or dignity is threatened — online or offline.
We are committed to promoting safer digital spaces, raising awareness, and empowering young women with the skills to navigate the internet confidently and securely.

✨ Let’s speak up.
✨ Let’s hold perpetrators accountable.
✨ Let’s create safer digital spaces for all.

Anchors Around the World 🌻

Happy International Youth Day! 🌟

Theme: Local Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond

Today, we celebrate the bold, innovative, and purpose-driven leadership of young people shaping the future from the grassroots up. This year’s theme highlights the vital role youth play in translating the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into real, impactful change in their communities.

At Anchor of Destiny Global, we believe leadership begins with empowerment. That’s why, through our Youth Empowerment and Education in Leadership (YEEL) initiative, we're proud to invest in the next generation of changemakers.

🌱 This International Youth Day, we’re sponsoring 3 outstanding Nigerian students to take part in a 6-week skills development and mentorship program hosted by Sisters Ally Foundation. This initiative spans borders from the UK to Nigeria united in our commitment to raising leaders who are confident, capable, and community-driven.

“When we mentor the youth, we mentor the land.” Prophet Nana Asare

By equipping youth with practical tools, visionary mentors, and leadership training, we’re not just changing individual lives we're strengthening entire communities. This mission directly supports:

✅ SDG 4 – Quality Education
✅ SDG 8 – Decent Work & Economic Growth
✅ SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities

🎯 Leadership is not a position, it’s a mindset, a purpose, and a responsibility. Through YEEL and initiatives like this, we're fostering a generation of leaders ready to rise, lead, and transform their world.

📢 Join us in building this movement!

Follow @anchorofdestiny to stay connected, support youth-led initiatives, and help us scale life-changing opportunities for young leaders across Africa, Europe, and beyond.

Today is #DayOfTheGirl, a moment to amplify #GirlsVisionForTheFuture.

My vision for every girl is that they have equitable access to education, allowing them to pursue their dreams to any level. Every girl should be protected from all forms of gender-based violence and have equitable access to healthcare services, free from stigma. I envision a world where girls are surrounded by opportunities and are represented at decision-making tables, no matter where they come from.

As @ebbythelma rightly said, girls can be doctors, engineers, tech innovators, leaders, business owners, wives, mothers, and still achieve their dreams without limitations.

To all the girls out there, keep raising your voices and representing each other. No girl should ever be underrepresented.
